We had a mother-daughter "over-nighter" in the attic room. We were amazed at the beauty of the room, the hospitality, the location, and the breakfast. We will NOT hunt around our area for another B & B. This will be perfect for any occasion. Can't wait for another "excuse" to go out of town and stay there. Thanks so much.... More

This was a gorgeous home in the country with a wonderful story. It had been moved 70 miles to this location. John & Sara did a fantastic renovating job and are wonderful B&B hosts. Breakfast was delicious. The Rose Room was so pretty, although bathroom is small since it was built into what used to be 2 closets. It beats... More

We just returned from our first trip to this part of the country and we already miss the stress-free environment of this lovely B&B! John and Sarah have a fun tale to tell about how they started this Victorian home and they have made it as homey for their visitors as they possibly could- a great home away from home!... More

My wife and I choose the Steever house for the location, then fell in love with the charming house, wonderful staff and the family (The Steevers) that took a vision and made it into a reality, We were married in the house, with 27 guests that were served a fantastic wedding supper - John and Sara - really outdid themselves... What a fantastic stay we had at the Steever House! My girlfriend surprised me with a stay here for my birthday and what a gift! The house is very charming and the hosts are very personable people. We stayed in the Attic room, which included such amenities as a nice size whirlpool tub, fireplace, king size bed, etc.! Since it... More

From the lively company of hosts John and Sarah to the comfortable, beautifully decorated rooms to the outstanding breakfast (I will be making those toffee scones), Steever House was an example of exactly how a bed and breakfast should be. It is peacefully set on a rural road, but close to amenities and Sioux Falls. Eric and Robin Benzle Bay... More

We just loved it here. I wanted to stay in Sioux falls but could not find a B and B that worked for us. After searching, i came across Steever House and read the sterling reviews and I was so glad I found it. The people are so nice, they offered us a bottle of homebrewed beer and sat and... More

We travelled across from Deadwood across South Dakota to catch a flight to Chicago from Sioux Falls. Our stop for the night was the Steever House, the house was moved to its present location by the Steever family who now own the house and run the B&B. We stayed in the Yellow room and it was fabulous the family are... More

We were travelling from Chicago to Deadwood and chose this place to stay for a night en route. Turned out to be one of those places you wish you were staying longer. Lovely house. Warm welcome from Sarah and children when we arrived late evening. Very friendly and helpful and provided tea for me and micro brewery beer for husband... More

My wife and I drove all the way across South Dakota to stay at The Steever House the night before we caught a plane to Chicago from Sioux Falls. The moment we arrived we were welcomed by the whole family (not all at once so not overwhelming). We sat and chatted to the family and felt perfectly at home. The... More
