Convenient location, newly remodeled, and super clean! It also is on Main Street and across from a laundromat! The Hotel manager Nancy goes above and beyond to make sure that you have a wonderful stay. My Dad and I were on a cross country motorcycle trip and just passing through when we came across the Dakota Spur. The Sturgis 2014... More

This hotel has great potential . Paul and Janie want to make you feel right at home .We loved our room...our bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well. We stayed with a large group during the rally and truly enjoyed our freedom in the common areas. The location is wonderful. The 24 hr laundry ,gas station and convenient store... More

We stayed at the Dakota spur for the Sturgis rally. We arrived late afternoon, entered though the Mexican restaurant in the basement, check in was very informal, we got our room key and a parking pass for our truck/trailer. The hotel itself has a very homey feel, and there's character throughout. The owners were around most days, and if you... More

I booked this room in July and based my choice on availability and reviews on Booking.com. Some of the items that were listed as amenities or services were not available. WiFi was apparently available but the code in the room was wrong. Coffee makers were supposed to be in the room but were not. The so-called restaurant downstairs was not... More

We booked the room on July 17, 2013. We had to pay half down but when we got to the motel it was a disappointment. What is showing on the website is totally different than what we saw. You have to go to the resturant which is under construction so you go to the bar in the basement. What was... More

Well unfortunately I can not give this place a good review because I will not have the opportunity to stay there. I called back in Jan to reserve a room for the Rally in August, gave the guy my card #, my email, and all my info. Thinking I paid the 50% deposit they required I finally realized I never... More

We stayed at the Dakota Spur with a large group during rally week. The owners were very accommodating and helpful in many ways. Everything has been remodeled. The bathrooms are small in some rooms but it's not a big deal. We really enjoyed the lounge in the basement, which was great for a large group. They had a light breakfast... More

It is obvious that the owners are updating the hotel and doing all they can to make it comfortable for guests. We reserved three rooms for a Friday night and were all very happy with the accommodations. The deck out back is a real nice feature, as was the offstreet parking. This is a small hotel with lots of character... More

The rooms were nicely updated and Jake was very accommodating. we had 3 rooms for our whole party. They have a nice patio area where we could all hang out after a long day of fun in the hills.
