Quail's Crossing website describes exactly what is offered, types of amenities, rooms and cabins. The owner George is straight forward, honest and obviously takes pride in maintaining and improving his resort each year. I will return to Quail's Crossing without any hesitation and recommend it to all my family and friends. Thank you George.

I've stayed at better places and have stayed at worse. We made a late reservation for a holiday weekend. We stayed in the hotel section. It was dated, but clean. An extensive list of rules and expectations was posted in the room. Overall, just an average place. WiFi was slow and inconsistent. Would probably stay somewhere else for our next... More

Our family stayed here for a week, June 17-24 in cabin 3. Our 2 bedroom cabin was clean. It came with a private picnic table and grill. We used both each night as well as the firepit for nightly campfires. The other families joined us for s'moes and just a wonderful time. George provided all the charcoal, lighter fluid, and... More

We stayed at Quail's the last week of June, 2014 and had a great stay. The cabins are older but very clean and have everything you need. Our 3 children (10, 8, 7) had a great time in the pool and exploring the resort. George took us panning for gold and we actually found a couple of "flecks" of gold... More

My family and I stayed there in the later part of June 14. We stayed in cabin 6, It was very clean and spacious enough for me, my wife, and two young daughters.George came off as a hard man, but seemed nice enough as we talked to him a few times over the week. My daughters enjoyed the pool, and... More

Kids loved the use of the bikes, the cabin was extremely clean and the location was great. Very close to all attractions. It was too cool to swim the times we were around the cabin, but the pool looked nice. The area is beautiful!

Cabins were well equipped and suitable for all of our needs. George was friendly and accommodating. He was very helpful during an unexpected power outage due to a snow storm in October. All in all we had a great stay and a good time!

Had an enjoyable stay at Quails Crossing even though we had a major blizzard and lost electricity for several days.George was very accommodating and made sure we had flashlites and batteries. We had heat, hot water and a gas stove to cook with. The cabins were clean and in order, older but good for families, hunters and trout fisherman.Looking forward to going back next... More

My wife had never had an opportunity to 'Go West' so we planned extensively for our trip from IL to SD- 3 months of planning. Doing our best to maintain a middle-class status, we sought the best deal we found - available at Black Hills Cabins and Motel at Quail's Crossing right outside of Hill City, South Dakota, and it...
