We stayed in one of the large cabins with a group of five and had plenty of room to spare. Behind our cabin was a neat rock formation and a little picnic fire pit area that we made dinner on one night. There are so many places to stay here whether it be the KOA campground, the cabins or the... More

This was our third stay at the Mount Rushmore KOA and we’ll continue to come back when we visit the Black Hills. The KOA is conveniently located close to many of the attractions in the area such as Mount Rushmore, the 1880’s Train, Cosmos Mystery Area and Crazy Horse – just to name a few! The staff welcomes visitors by... More

Lowlights: Even with year in advance reservations, they moved cabins/rooms separated our renunion group, would not rectify upon arrival. Assured us of specific cabins, then gave them out to 'walk-ins' who arrived prior to us on our reservation day Filthy cabins Towels not stocked, toilet paper not stocked Staff rude and unhelpful Manager did not return calls after promising to... I had not stayed at a KOA campground for a number of years. I was pleasantly surprised. We got there late, the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The camp site was clean. The overall atmosphere of the campground is friendly and safe. The breakfast at the lodge was tremendous and very reasonable. I will return.

We stayed at this campground the first of September. We made a three day reservation and wished we could have left after the first night. We checked in late about 1030p, the girl at the desk did not have a clue. She said she did not know anything about campers. After paying for my three nights she gave me a... More

We had a wonderful 10-day stay at the lodge! Our dog, Coco Chanel, loved the hiking on the grounds and running into all the wildlife! This location was easy access to Mt Rushmore one day, Crazy Horse monument and Custer Park another day, Deadwood another, Badlands, Hot springs, etc.

Mixed review, which is why it's not a 1-star or a 5-star (some things were 1-star some 5-star = 3-star average). Not sure where to start because there is a lot going on. When I called to book the reservation and for other questions they were AWESOME. Very helpful in figuring out what would work for us. That was impressive.... More

We were on an extended trip with our family and decided to stay at the Mt. Rushmore KOA. It was perfect for us. There was a lot to do and the staff were super friendly and helpful. We ended up adding a day to our stay so the kids could play at the pool and the adults could relax one... More

We stayed here for two nights on our way back from Yellowstone. The pools were full of bugs. The hot tub water was green. They say they have wifi but, they don't. If you talk to the workers they say it is always a problem and doesn't work. They told me to go to town and find it at a... More
