We stayed in Hill City for 3 nights. The room was small -immaculate and well furnished. The owners very friendly. I liked the email notification of room readiness along with room key code that was based on mobile phone number-no need to check in, just pull in front of your room and get settled. Location very good as well- the... More

We stayed at this small family run hotel while we were in town to run the Crazy Horse half marathon. This hotel is a good example of why you should not judge a book by its cover. Although it is small, just six rooms, everything had been updated and was just as good as most franchise hotels. The rooms are... More

We stayed at the Harney Peak Inn for 3 nights in early September as we toured through the Black Hills. The location is great right on the main drag through Hill City. They have 6 rooms, some with double beds and king beds. We had room 2 which was a king size bed and nearer to the interior and away... More

Arrived at Harney Peak Inn to a friendly welcome from Dan w/ a cold local craft beer and a tour and explanation of our little home away from home. When entering our spotless, spacious, clean room w/ soft jazz playing, I said "what more could you ask for - friendly host, cold craft beer on tap & jazz music?!?!" Location... More

We stayed here for 2 nights while enjoying the sites in the area! Very clean & reasonable rates. we had not arrived when I got a phone call stating that the owners were leaving to go to dinner, She gave us the room # & told us where to find the key. Upon arriving the light had been left on... More

We are just finishing up a 5 day stay at the Harney Peak Inn. It's small, just 6 rooms. Love the beds and the sheets are wonderful. When looking for a place I had two requirements, flat screen TV and good Internet. HPI had both and so much more. Located in the center of Hill City which is quieter than... More

We loved our stay at the Harney Peak Inn! Mary and Dan are the perfect hosts, and made us feel right at home. The location of the inn was perfect to explore all the Black Hills has to offer, and the rooms were very comfortable. We enjoyed the outdoor sitting area, and greatly appreciated their helpful advice as we planned... More

Loved the hosts, loved the remodel of this old 50's style road motel. Beds were comfy and location is right in the heart of Hill City. Very convenient for us as we came off a day of biking on the Michelson Trail. Unfortunately, also fairly noisy and bright with little sleep to be had for our weary group. Outside gathering... More
