Sam and Linda run one of the nicest, cleanest, and most Friendly B&B's in the area. Their commitment to the customer is unparalleled and well, you don't want to miss breakfast!! Location (within short walk to downtown Hill City) is awesome, especially if you would like to indulge adult beverages and not have to drive!! We will definitely go back... More

The Mountains To Prairies Bed and Breakfast was out of this world! Linda and Sam Brown were the consummate host and hostess and their genuine kindness and hospitality was excellent. We stayed at their home for four days and by the time we left my family knew we had made new friends to last a lifetime. They also have an... More

Thank you Sam and Linda for all the great hospitality, food, wonderful bed and accommodations! We loved the location, Hill City has some fun things going on at night. Sam and Linda, thank you too for all your great "local" tips. They were exactly what we wanted. We've shared them with others traveling to SD and they have also greatly... More

First time we went in a B&B as adviced by bikers friends... yes it was during this las motorcycle event at Sturgis. Not the price of a Motel 6 but finally it was a really good price for all inclused and the exceptional comfort. The owners, Linda & sam are really great and they love what they do. Don't forget... We stayed at this B & B and really enjoyed the accomodations. The Chessie Lee's Peas room was beautiful! The morning breakfasts were also wonderful. Our only complaint has to do with the sometimes very vocal, very far right views of the owners. In fact all almost all the cable stations were blocked except for Fox News, NUMEROUS religious stations,... More

We liked this family, enjoyed their entry in our guest scrapbook. Deeply grieved at offending, as we found on TripAdvisor, we emailed apology. The man replied, he liked conversations with Sam, listening to opposing viewpoints, only issue the TV programming. To hopefully clear misunderstandings—Have never blocked channels and wouldn’t know how; Have local channels; Have Dish Network’s ‘Family Package’ (since... More

My family and I stayed at this lovely B&B for two nights over spring break. It was truly a delightful experience. We stayed in Chessie Lee's Peas cottage. It was so quaint and charming. It truly felt as though we were in our very own log cabin but with all the modern amenities that I demand in accommodations. The proprietors,... More

My husband and I stayed here during our second wedding anniversary in Sept. 2009. We had such a wonderful time! Hill City was a great base camp for exploring the Black Hills and Sam and Linda were kind hosts. They were happy to give recommendations on places to see and eat. We would have missed an incredibly beautiful lake and... More

We chose to stay at a B&B in the hope that it would allow us to feel part of the community compared to a standard motel and, boy, did this place deliver. Our room was fun, spacious and private (with its own access), breakfasts were marvellous and the location was excellent both for the facilities of Hill City and exploring... More
