Visited Royal River as we were staying in Pipestone, MN so it was just a short drive across the border. From the outside, the casino looks large but once you walk inside you notice it is quite small. We walked around the entire casino four times in about two minutes. However, what it lacks in size, it makes up in... More

Hotel was nice and easy to find. Stayed in a non smoking room - that smelt of smoke. We were visiting family, other wise we would have not stayed in Flandreau. Okay place, pool looked nice but did not take advantage.

The good: relatively clean. The bad: front desk staff was rude at check-in. Recliner in room had fresh urine on it, that we didn't notice until my wife sat down in it after we were settled in. The buffet was not bad - but even the crab that just came out wasn't even warm. Slot machine that I was playing... More

Typically when traveling, we prefer large, vegas-type casinos but we took a chance on this one (advertised as 17,000 sq ft). Although it was farther from the interstate than we thought, it was well worth the trip. Lots of small denomination slots, $4.00 mixed drinks, clean spacious rooms, and a great breakfast buffet. The staff was very nice and the... More

We got stuck in a snow storm and the rate of $39.00 a night was too good to give up. The breakfast was $3.99 special. They had a nice pool and an RV park but in winter I stay inside hotels. The room was very clean the TV are outdated but that is a miner issues. The staff was helpful... More

GOOD - Food is cheap - 2Q room had table&chairs and plenty of space - We were VERY successful in the casino. They claim a 96% payback and we left several hundred ahead - The superbowl party was fun. Great nacho bar and we had our own personal bartender plus we won tons of great prizes - All the employees,... More

We were on a bus tour to the Badlands, Black Hills, and casinos. We were booked in here for our first and last night of the trip. The casino is alright, I guess, but I'm not the gambler in the family. We were given vouchers for the buffet both nights, and it was quite good. The second stay is where... More

We stayed on Sept. 21st, after seeing a casino special offering 30 dollars in dining, 20 in free play for 90 dollars. We decided we would give it a try as we were tired of spending over 120 dollars a night in Brookings when we travel to see our kids in collage. Checking in was easy and the room was... More

I stayed here recently while working in the area. I was a bit apprehensive after reading about smokey-smelling rooms. I'm happy to say that my first floor room (near the bend, around the corner from the ice machine) was fine. I didn't notice any sort of smoke smell at all. The free wii-fi worked well, and the bed was comfortable.... More
