You cannot visit Deadwood and not stay at Deadwood Dick's. Unfortunately we only managed to stay just one night on our way from Cody to Rapid City - so glad we did! It is unique, quirky, historic - like no other hotel we have ever stayed in anyway in the world. Reception is right in the middle of an antiques... More

Deadwood Dick's Saloon, Lodging, Gaming Hall and Antique Mall is one of the most unique lodging experiences in the Black Hills. Located in a hundred year old historic warehouse building, the antiques surround slot machines and a bar and restaurant. Some 35 antique dealers cover three floors with interesting collectibles, memorabilia and furniture. Our room on the 4th floor had... More

Thank you for taking the time to review us on Tripadvisor. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay, shopping in the Antique Mall and the "pillowy" bed!! Most of our rooms do have great views of Deadwood and we try to ensure our rates are competitive if not less expensive for the Downtown area! So sorry you did... More

I stayed in Deadwood Dick's for two nights in early June when I came through to run the Mickelson Trail Marathon. You cannot beat the location or the price, and I thought the style of this old hotel really fit the historical setting. Wild Bill Hickok stands guard outside the saloon (and rests in Mt. Moriah Cemetery on the bluff... More

We really enjoyed our three nights in early June 2014 at Deadwood Dick's. We wanted to stay someplace with character and a good location-- and this was perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful and we loved our room. The ONLY negative was the lack of an air conditioning unit, but I understand that is being rectified soon. We would... More

We were looking to stay in a Deadwood hotel within walking distance of all the saloons and casinos. We stumbled upon Deadwood Dick's. What a great find! We arrived, Mona showed us to our room. She gave us a history of the area and the hotel itself. They have a 1902 Otis elevator. It was quite fun using it to... More

This was our fifth time staying at Deadwood Dick's - we stayed in May 2014. We stayed in Room 411 and while I never thought I'd like any room better than the one we stayed in last time (307) this one was truly the top of the heap. The sleeping area had two queen sized beds (that were so comfortable... More

This Hotel was outstanding! All the staff where friendly and very helpful! Our room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is decorated with great timeless pieces. We were impressed by the hotel's decor. The view from our 4th floor room was terrific! The hotel was in great area walking distance to everything.

The good: The owner couldn't have been nicer. We were upgraded to a suite, 307, it was a small 2 bedroom apartment. The furniture was old but fine. The king size bed was newer and comfortable. The old elevator was a ton of fun. We had a window facing the back and could watch deer on the hill everyday. The... More

Thank you for your comments on our Historic Hotel in downtown Deadwood! We understand your thoughts regarding the former housekeepers ambition. Unfortunately, we were not able to keep them employed, but have since trained another employee that seems to have pride in their abilities to do their job as we expect them to. When we personally escort our guests to... More

We stayed for three nights in a suite room. The room was dated and was not the cleanest, There obviously was a dog in the room before us because there was still dog hair all over the couch. There was no real maid service as the only thing that was done after our first night was to come in and... More

We appreciate our guests letting us know where we can improve and we want to thank you for your candid comments regarding the housekeeper that was employed with us. Unfortunately, we did not catch the mistakes of this former employee's lack of ambition before you checked into your room. Our biggest apologies go out to you and it is unfortunate... More

Stayed in Deadwood for Easter weekend this year. There were 5 of us total staying in Deadwood Dick's. We had a very comfortable room - a kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedrooms, and living room with 2 beds in it. And we were on the 4th floor so we got to ride the old fashion elevator a quite a few times. We...
