Super friendly staff who toured us through the two options we were considering (cabin vs tent). As it was an especially cold September evening, we stayed in the cabin. Warm and cozy and in close proximity to the washroom. Deadwood does it right by having the trolley run day and late into the evening to bring you into town. We... More

We stayed here right after Labor Day. The bathrooms were clean and private. For only 1.00 you can take the trolley downtown and enjoy the food and entertainment. Our site was nice and we overlooked the black hills. We stayed for two nights and would return.

When we pulled into the campground everything seemed great. We had been traveling for three days and was ready to settle in one place for a few nights. We checked in and was greeted by very helpful staff. We got our site number and away we went. We started driving through the campground and thought ugh, not what we thought.... More

You will be Camping on top of your neighbors. My biggest complaint is the restroom accommodations for people with a camper without bathrooms really stinks. The trolley to downtown Deadwood is nice and convenient. It is very affordable.

Great location, we visited Crazy Horse, Mt. Rushmore, Devils Tower, and Downtown Deadwood in the five days we stayed. The owner really went the extra mile and kept the park open for us after a freak blizzard. We were the only ones in the whole park and he kept the shower room open for us. Tom Blair, the owner, is... This was our second trip to Deadwood and second stay at Whistler. The park is clean. Spots are gravel, level, little bit of grassy are, picnic table, fire pit, full hook ups , quiet, beautiful views of nature and we saw deer right up next to our RV. Pet friendly, close drive o town or grab the trolley. We were... More

This RV park is the closest to the centre of Deadwood City and a bus calls by twice an hour to take you into town ($1). It is a very long and thin park which runs uphill into the gulch and therefore parts of it do not get the sun during the later part of the day – a mixed... More

It is a nice park (we have stayed there several times in the past). We planned to arrive there July 16th, 2013 for 5 days. However, we had a medical emergency occur in our family so we had to cancel our entire 2 month trip. We called to cancel at Whistler Gulch today (6-26-13) and are going to be charged... More

The campground is fairly close to town, it's quiet and clean. They have a nice swimming pool and a clean shower house. The RV sites are a little close together but we didn't care because we were there to explore Deadwood and eat in town. One of the great things we really liked was the campground was quiet---and best of... More
