Traveled in the month of June and stayed 4 nights at this hotel. The buffet is awesome for breakfast.( we were site seeing for other meals) Such friendly and efficient servers at the buffet. I enjoyed the lady at the omelet station. She made me feel right at home. Our rooms were clean and bottle water was placed in our... More

Stayed 5 nights for a business trip. This hotel had the cheapest rate by far so I was a little worried. Bldg. 3 is the nicest of all rooms on the premises. The staff was excellent. Very friendly and as accommodating as one could expect. Free shuttle to airport was an added bonus. I recommend this hotel.

If you like to gamble you would like this hotel. It is a little out dated but the room was big and very clean. They do have a cart that takes you from each of their hotels; however, each hotel is really not that far from each other. They also have a check-in desk in each hotel. This hotel is... More

If you just want a place to sleep, this place is fine. But it is too far to really walk into town or to Moriah Cemetery or anything. The lobby area smells smoky and the staff was not particularly friendly ( I felt like I was bothering them when I checked in and the lady who checked me in seemed... More

Really bad experience at Deadwood Dicks, but this place, & Nicky & Clay made it all better! :) Spotlessly clean & such good customer service made this a pleasant stay. Within walking distance of downtown Deadwood. Prices are better too! :) The only reason it didn't get a 5, is because of the slow WIFI in building 3.

The First Gold Hotel is an interesting collection of buildings built right up against the side of a sizable hill on Deadwood’s main drag. Ample and convenient parking exists in a three-level ramp adjoining the hotel buildings. I did not visit the main casino building where the buffet and deli are located, but golf carts were providing shuttle service to... More

First Gold has large hotel rooms, with lots of space in the rooms. The hotel consists of several buildings. Building 1 is tied to the main casino, buildings 2-4 are separate from the main hotel, just up a slight hill (shuttle service is available). Building 2 is easy to get around, but Buildings 3 and 4 require going through different... More

A long time ago we stayed in Building 2, when it was brand new. This time we were in Building 3. Quite convenient with parking lot at the front door to the building. Very accommodating when we informed them they didn't give us the room number they thought they did. The casino's okay, same as all. The Sunday morning buffet... More

This was a hotel with a casino. But not . The hotel is 200yrs away from the casino. You have to request a cart to take you or bring you back. Inconvenient. WiFi did not work. I was told by the desk that it is iffy at best. Room was clean. Shower terrible.

We didn't stay at this hotel so this review will be for the restaurant only. The reviews on here that say the food is flavorful are clearly written by employees or owners. The buffet is a small, run down dump. The food that is suppose to be cold is not on ice or anything. The food was not good. We... More
