What a fresh, new look! I have stayed here in the past but now they have remodeled some rooms to suites and did an amazing job! We felt like we were at home! We had two queens beds, two bathrooms, med size fridge, microwave, coffee maker, desks, leather fold out couch, leather recliner, chair, fireplace... Loved the living room side.... More

A great hotel for motor coach groups. They have a good staff to work with & Dixie, in group sales, does everything she can to make the your stay the best. They have good motor coach parking and easy access for passengers to get into the hotel. Customers get a breakfast with and overnight stay and a preregistered manifest. We... More

The hotel setup is weird. Main lobby in one building and 2 or 3 other buildings scattered around where the rooms are. The room was acceptable. No bathtub just a shower. Did not eat breakfast there. Parking garage was nice.

Stayed here for a weekend when my family was visiting. This was my first time in deadwood and it was defiantly a descent stay. The rooms in the casino are convenient, but the rooms in the other building are not. If you have back issues or any other issues like I do, I would not recommend the other building. The... More

I'm not sure exactly what some of the reviewers are looking for in a hotel, but I think the rooms at the First Gold (Building #3, room #204 was our room) are very nice. It is a little walk to get from the lodging in building no. 3 to the main casino, but there is a shuttle van that goes... More

We stayed for three nights over Thanksgiving at First Gold Hotel and Gaming and urge you never to stay there. 1) The buffet is overpriced for what they serve and the dungeon cafeteria where it's served; you don't see the dark space until AFTER you pay IN ADVANCE for your meal and then descend to the basement, which a likely... Was looking for an inexpensibe hotel and this one fit the bill. For only $39.00 per night (online special) we got a king size bed. Nothing fancy but was just there for the night. All the king rooms, we were told, are in one building, building #3. Was a little bit of an effort to find the room since you... More

Glad you found your stay to be of good value! We continue to work on making it easier for our guests, including new, clearer maps of both First Gold and The Terrace and more transportation between The Terrace and First Gold. More

We are always pleased with our accommodations and the friendliness of the staff. The prices are very good, the gaming area is neat and well tended. We have stayed many times thru the years and each experience is very pleasant

This is an ok place that was very clean and not far away from downtown. Nothing special, but people were very nice and helpful, the room was clean, the bed was good. Deadwood is the attraction, so this is just an overnight place to stay.

I booked two nights. The 17th and 18th. The 17th was fine other than my room smelled like a dog kennel. Luckily we brought the Fabreeze. The place was clean but the TV was fuzzy, not serious I know but still. The 18th was rediculous. The people above us were so loud. From 2 am until we had to go... More
