Every year we take a trip to the Dakotas and every summer/fall it never disappoints. Deadwood Mountain Grand Hotel was part of that wonderful experience. From the moment you walk into the lobby you will feel a sense of home. Hot, fresh, coffee and lemon/iced water is served all day long. The staff greets you every morning as you make... More

The hotel is really a gem. Clean rooms and common areas. We enjoyed the casino. The Grille for breakfast was plain but ok. Nothing special. Our waitress made our visit memorable. She had a good sense of humor when I asked her to clear the extra cups and glasses that they have on the corner of all the tables.

If you've been to Deadwood before, you probably didn't realize the potential of this property. Great great great location. Unique rooms. Wonderful place to stay. Casino was boring, slow and lack a true casino feel. Breakfast was great, service was mediocre. Overall, we had a great time and would stay again as well as recommend to our friends.

We are great fans of Holiday Inns, but have never been to one as lavish as the Deadwood Mountain Grand Hotel in Deadwood, SD. We were greeted at the door and walked over the correct elevator to take us to hotel registration. Our room was beautiful and the bathroom was amazing. We went downstairs to one of the nicest casinos... More

My husband and I agree, this hotel may have had the NICEST BED we've ever slept in while on the road. We stayed in a King room, and everything was clean and totally lovely. The less-than-perfect rating comes because of the maze one has to go through to get to the hotel section. I suppose it's common to run people... More

We experienced absolutely phenominal treatment by guest services employee Kristi Gondzar at the Grand Hotel in Deadwood S. D. during the Sturgis Bike Rally. She went above and beyond the call helping us during a severe rainstorm with weather info., helping us find a place to stay as the "Grand" was full by calling hotels in the area and generally... We arrived at the hotel around 3 pm on August 17th. My husband is a platinum ihg member (not acknowledged) and we used points to reserve a room booked over 2 months in advance. We went to the room after checking in it was a King Handicap assessable room no tub definitely not the room we booked. The room that... More

We enjoyed our stay at the resort, overall a good experience. Really interesting history for this property, which was an abandoned mining slime plant. The remodeling job is wonderful. The staff here is the greatest asset, from the super helpful bellmen to the front desk and housekeeping staff. Our accessible room was very nice, really quiet, clean and comfortable. The... More

Stayed here the week before Sturgis and had a great time. The rooms are very clean and spacious with comfortable bed. Being your own pillow though. Ours were very tired and lumpy. The bathroom was amazing with a huge shower and good counter space. Walking distance to main st and all the shops and casinos. Will definitely stay here again.

The only place in Deadwood to rock out and rest up -- Deadwood Mountain Grand, A Holiday Inn Resort -- is one of the area’s newest and most unique hotel properties, a resort experience that is sure to leave you longing for a return trip long after you return home.At the Deadwood Mountain Grand Hotel, Casino and Event Center, Perched on a hill overlooking Historic Deadwood and featuring GRAND views, the 98-room luxury hotel is a wonderful addition to the recently refurbished adjoining Homestake Mine Slime Plant, one of Deadwood’s most unique historic landmarks, now home to Deadwood’s only large-scale event center and casino. Combined, the three (hotel, event center and casino) provide a resort mix unparalleled by any other. Our three executive king rooms, along with our five king suites deliver the most breath taking views in town. Seven of these eight well-appointed rooms feature spectacular views from their private balconies, including that of Mount Moriah Cemetery (the final resting place of Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane and other legends of the Wild West) and Historic Deadwood. Relax and enjoy lounging by the grand stone fireplace over two stories tall under vaulted ceilings or cozy up by the side seating fireplace both making our rustic interior. ... more   less
