We checked in on September 21, 09 for a two night stay. We had stayed here in June of 05 and just loved it. I really wanted the same room and finally managed to get it, but the hotel seems to have gone down. We're Priority Club members with the Holiday Inn Hotel chains and in 05, we stayed here... more

We found the suite very spacious, quiet, bright and for the most part clean. Staff let us check-in early, thank-you..it was a life saver, and they were very pleasant about it. We found the location ideal and could walk very easily to everything. We slept well and had a nice breakfast in the morning. The only downfalls were the price... more

No compensation or courtesy service given when check-in delayed several hours for a water problem on 2nd floor. Elevator out of service until midnight, so we had to haul all luggage to our 4th floor room. Had to change dinner plans and family arrangements due to late check-in. No offer to provide a changing room, to carry bags or to... more

We checked in right away. Our room was a junior suite on the second floor with a view of the hallway. We had to keep our curtains closed so others couldn't see in our room. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The location is right in downtown Deadwood. It was about a block from Jake's Restaurant, the best... more

My husband and I, and another couple went to Deadwood last summer for the first time. I found this hotel online and I think the description and pictures are accurate. Pros: The hotel is in a great location, it's literally right in the middle of Main Street. Also, there was a hot breakfast served (free!...sausage, eggs, toast, biscuits and gravy,... more

A friend and I on a road trip decided to make this hotel the first stop in our South Dakota driving trip. The Holiday Inn Express hotel is located in the middle of the one road strip that makes up the majority of tourist interest in Deadwood. The hotel does offer free parking for its guest, a bonus in this... more

We agree with the previous review. My husband and I spent 2 nights in July. The good being location and free parking across the street, but the staff seem to not want to be bothered with any questions or needs. Once we asked for a wine opener and were told they did not have one and come down to ask in... more

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Deadwood in late May of this year. This was absolutley one of the best hotels we stayed at period. We were able to check in early and actually felt like we were welcomed guests, something that can't be said for all places. Our room was large and very clean and the location cannot... more

We go to Deadwood in May every year and we always stay at the Holiday Inn Express. The rooms have always been very clean and the service is always great. They got new beds last year I think, and they are very comfortable. They have pillows on the bed that are marked "firm" or "soft" depending on your preference, which... more
