The room was nice, clean and spacious. The manager was very nice and helpful. The lobby was homely and welcoming, and the rates were very reasonable. We really enjoyed our stay here. I would recommend it anybody going to Deadwood.

Stayed here during bike week. Room was clean and the price was right. The owner is very helpful and caring. Even had rags and soap to wash your bike. Nothing fancy, but nice place to stay. Trolly stops right out front.

Stopped here on our way to Mount Rushmore. Drove through Deadwood and were very disappointed to see how commercialised it was. And expensive! Luckily we came across this lovely motel as we were driving out of town. The owner is very helpful and a true hostess. It is extremely cheap and includes breakfast. Nothing is too much trouble and the... More

Okay, I admit it, we drove past this hotel at first because the outside seemed shady to me. But after stopping at the Super 8, over $100 a night, and then another we were told by a very considerate front desk clerk that this hotel had no casino, so their prices would be more what we could afford. We went... More

A super nice, clean and considerate place to stay, I have been there on Several occasions, and the service and room quality is always GREAT. No Surproses, and VERY good prices. It is NON chain Motel, and I try to support local business people whenever I can. Corporations are ruining the Nation. You Cant go wrong with Thunder Cove.

We found this place as we were looking for a quint B and B. It's not, but the owner Paula was very nice and helpful. We had a refrigerator in our room so we were able to transfer our cooler there, very nice. The room was sparse, and the bed comfortable. We took the trolley from the front door (... More

Paula , the owner is very conscientious and committed to providing excellent customer service. The nightly/weekly rates are the best in the area and the hotel is conveniently located between Lead and Deadwood. A light breakfast is provided in the AM free of charge and the trolley stops at the front door.

We have been staying at the Thundercove Inn and Suites at least two or three times a year over the past l0 years. The owner, Paula, is an exceptional hostess. The inn is entirely non-smoking and pet free, which makes it a special place in Deadwood for those of us who are non-smokers and have allergies. The Inn is located... More

This quiet little hotel offers clean basic rooms. A nice gift shop and location. The trolly pulls up out front $1 a dollar takes off to down town. When you have had your fill of gambling you can come back to this peaceful little place. Not much for services here. I don't believe they have a 24 hour desk but... More

The inn has an excellent location, that is central to many of the attractions in the Black Hills. The owner is very pleasant and helpful. She helped a lot with suggestions and directions. It's very clean. The breakfast was simple but tasty and healthy. The coffee is to die for. She takes high quality beans and grinds them just before... More
