I really liked this hotel. its a older property but its kept up good and has a real comfortable bed. I just wish we were able to stay for more then one night. I have been in many hotels in Deadwood and in my opinion its one of the better ones for the money.

Check in was super fast as we were on a bus trip and they were prepared for us, We were in a nonsmoking room on 3rd floor and it was clean and fresh. Hallways were clean and bright. If you get on of the rooms overlooking main Street The Ice machine is real close.

This is the third year at Hickok's. We take a yearly girls night over and have stayed at many places in Deadwood. We absolutely love the laid back atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. The price is very reasonable and the hotel is in a nice area for walking.

The service was fantastic! The staff was very friendly and had lots of wonderful tips. Our room was stellar. We had a 3rd floor room with a fantastic view. The kids had a fantastic time. There is a pool nearby, but we never used it. We wore the boys out on our walks through this magnificent town and they just... More

I booked the room online and got a call right away from a clerk asking what they could do to make our stay more enjoyable. The restaurant was going to be closed, so she made suggestions. I accidentally booked a smoking room and the clerk asked if that was what I wanted and then chose a different room for us.... More

We have been coming here for the last few years and always have a great time. We did have a hiccup with the heat on the fist night but was fixed right away the next day. Everyone is friendly and very personalable. Cody was very helpful along with the maintance guy! Thanks from Jim and jean from Nebraska.

My husband and I scooted to Hickok's for a night alone during a weeklong trip to visit my parents in Hermosa. Codi was very pleasant during check-in. We were assigned the room I requested online and the weeknight rate was excellent! I had left a message in my online reservation that we were coming for a romantic evening, and Codi... More

Our family stayed at Hickok's after my sister's wedding. The hotel is rather old, but in a good way. The walls and doors are made of very solid hardwood. The entire place has a nice rustic feel to it but is far from lacking any niceties. Each room has a whirlpool tub with 6 or so jets in it that... More

Loved the atmosphere of this beautifully furnished old west hotel. I felt like I was taken back in time thru the grand decor and woodwork of the room, but had modern luxuries such as a fridge and whirlpool tub! The bed was very comfortable. They have a spot outside to bring in your luggage, and have parking for you in... More

There is nothing fancy about this hotel but it is very clean and good parking unless you are pulling a bigger trailer. There is a few 1 armed bandits and an excellent cafe. Very reasonable and great staff.
