We stayed here just one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. This hotel is right on Deadwood's main street. It houses the Gem steak house, and is on the property of the Gem Theater, which was owned by Al Swearengen, who ran a bar, theater and brothel. We checked in and a bell boy came and helped us... We stayed in the downtown Deadwood location. (They have another newer hotel a few miles away in the town of Lead.) The staff is friendly and experienced. The rooms are large and well-maintained. It is right on Deadwood's main street, has a great restaurant. We arrived and had chocolate treats waiting our room, and the rubber ducky on the bathtub... More

My husband and I spent 4 days in Deadwood (our first visit) and were very impressed with the Mineral Palace. Having traveled almost 1,200 miles, our Harley was riddled with bug splatterings. We were pleasantly suprised to see not only do they provide secure, covered parking for bikers, but also provided hoses and clean rags to wash the bikes! We... More

The rooms were quite nice with some special treats: nightly turndown service with candy or cookies left for us. A souvenior rubber duckie on the bath tub. Nice unexpected gestures to make the stay memorable. Would like to give a 5.o, but did not include breakfast, but the competition at the other downtown Hotels did not either (we checked when... More

We stayed at the Mineral Palace last weekend, and would highly recommend. They were fast with check-in and the rooms were clean and updated. A bowl of fruit was at the check-in desk, which made for a quick, healthy snack after a long drive. Complimentary valet parking was available and at night they had a turndown service with fresh cookies.... More

Thank you for your positive feedback. We have been updating our rooms all winter long. Thank you for noticing. It is difficult to find fresh fruit when you are on the road, and we find our guests enjoy it anytime of day or night, and we are the only Deadwood hotel to offer nightly turndown service. We hope the next... More

Stayed here for four nights early June, we stayed in the VIP suite. Everything about this hotel was very good. Ate every meal here except for one, was very good every time. The valet parking made things really easy. Really enjoyed the lay out of the casino, a bunch of rooms with forty to sixty machines in them, never felt... More

Being a local I can't say much about the hotel as I've never stayed in there before, but the food is great! Steaks are amazing and I love the bacon cheese burgers. I eat there quite often with my aunt as she's a frequent player there. I do play the machines a bit there and seem to do fairly well.... More

Thank you for sharing your experience. There’s nothing better than a local endorsement! We agree, our food is consistently good, and very affordable. We have over 300 different machines on our gaming floor to choose from, as well as 6 live table games. Stop by the hotel front desk the next time you’re here. We would be happy to show... More

This hotel is comfortable, clean, convenient and the staff was super! The bartenders and the waitresses were so much fun. We didn't eat at the restaurant since it closed at 9:00 pm on Sunday night. Chocolates and cookies left in the room for us was a nice touch, as was the rubber duckie in the large bathroom.

Thank you for taking the time to review us on Trip Advisor. We believe people come to Deadwood to have a good time, and we are happy to hear you were able to relax and have some fun. We are the only Deadwood hotel to offer turndown service, complete with locally made chocolates and fresh baked cookies. Now that summer... More
