I recently stayed at the Cedar Wood Inn while on a trip to the Deadwood area. Everything I had heard about the property and the owners, Gordon and Audrey, were true. They were the nicest people and treated us like we were old friends. The hotel was clean, quiet and I couldn't get enough of the fresh coffee and sweet... More

This inn met all my expectations! Super clean rested very well even with all the bikers in town! Audrey is personable, courteous, and knowledgeable about the area she offers coffee and donuts for breakfast AND the Trolley stop was just outside our door! Very convenient. Would stay again.

We took a motorcycle trip to Deadwood. We stayed here two nights. The rooms are small but nice. The owner was very nice. One of the best things is that the trolly stops right outside the hotel. One dollar is all it costs for a ride downtown. The rates were reasonable for deadwood in the summer, $30-50 cheaper per night... More

My husband and I traveled unbeknownst to us on the weekend of the Days of '76. rooms were hard to find, and we "settled" for what was available--which was the Cedar. I am glad we did!! The location was a little further from downtown than what I wanted, but the trolly stop was right outside the door. Parking was ok... More

Spent two nights here in early June while touring the sites around Deadwood. Clean room, friendly service. Bathroom is a bit small, but not a problem for us. Loved the morning complimentary cinnamon rolls. Close enough to downtown Deadwood to walk or take the trolley which stops just in front of the motel.

I was very surprised by this inn. The front is just so charming and our 4 kids loved the statues of the animals. We had a reservation for four rooms, three families stayed in the extra addition just off of the main building, we were in room 31. The interior was a little dated but it had a great size... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night. Trolley stop is at the inn. Inferior has some updates. Loved the quilt as it feels homey. I do not like colored linens (sheets, towels) as I do not feel they get sanitized. The towels did not smell fresh since they cannot be bleached and were very worn and frayed. No... More

Barbra, Thank you for posting your review we are aware that our some of our bath towel inventory need to be replaced. We have order new from our supplier on 05-05-14 and were updated to receive them on 6/6/14. The reason we use colored linens like our quilts we want to create more of that homey feel for our guest.... More

Came to Deadwood for a weekend in February, first time we stayed at this motel. The motel is close enough to main street a person could walk or the trollies stop right in front of motel every 30 minutes. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was nice, modern and had plenty of hot water. One... More

When the motel we were staying at in Deadwood was sold and closed for renovations. We found one similar to what we were looking for. Cedar Wood Inn is economical, within a 1/2 mile walking distance from downtown Deadwood and the rooms are clean. The troller also stops right in front of the motel. They have a nice flat screen... This is another locally owned motel that really stands out. The property is very clean and well maintained, it is obvious that the owners really care. The furnishings are a little dated, but the linens are clean and the mattresses are comfortable. The location is great, a short trolley ride to the main drag, but far enough away to be... More
