My husband and I recently traveled to Deadwood with our married son , his wife and 11 month old baby. We have stayed with this Super 8 everytime we 've come to Deadwood and that's almost every year since the mid 1990's. We love the hotel, it's employees go beyond being freindly and helpful. We stayed for 1 night. I was a little concerned about it's location away from the Main Strret area but it was fine. A short trolley ride for $1 took you just about anywhere in town. Room was typical and clean. Found the bed to be a little uncomfortable as in an older firm and slightly lumpy mattress but OK... more
The staff were really nice, hotel is on the trolley stop, pool was nice, free breakfast was good, has an area to play slots, room was nice, and tv had channels for kids. more

Clean rooms, average. Previous person had recommended a room on the back by the river. Definitely a must! We had our window open all night. Loved the sound of a fast river. We booked a room at this hotel based primarily on the low nightly rates. When we travel, we want to see the local sights and spend as little time in the hotel room as possible. Was a good room at a good rate , only whine was that their on site casino wouldn't let us win! But we played long enough to get a free pizza! Stay here instead of Best Western in Rapid City!!! more
We stayed at Super 8 which is about 4 minute drive from historic Main Street during the off season and what struck me was how friendly everyone was. It was like staying at a friend or relative's place. There was a beautiful breakfast area with a lovely patio overlooking a creek. The pool and hot tub areas were also nice.... more
We have stayed at the Super 8 in Deadwood for over 15 years. Staff is friendly and have always honored our requests for a room. When you make a reservation ask for Virginia as she is the best. Continental breakfast is super. Casino in fun and slots are better than any in Deadwood. Rates are among the best and rooms... more
