We had an excellent stay in this lovely farm! The place is very nice organised and we received great advices about what we can do in the area. The rooms are very wel equipped and the surroundings are beautiful to explore. Highly recommended!

This place was an uncrowded gem, with new facilities, a nice kitchen with a wood burner for those chilly nights, and friendly hosts (fresh muffin at check in!). It was off season, but the internet was very fast and facilities uncrowded. That could change if the place is full, but still worth a visit just for the peaceful surroundings.

We arrived at Smiths farm straight off the ferry, and it was dark, rainy and a challenging drive. Our welcome was wonderful, and we were presented with a basket of muffins. Great facilities, and loads of animals to meet on our walk up to the waterfall. Molly the pig was my favourite. Like a fool, I left my wedding ring... More

We initially thought of staying in Picton, but the holiday parks were all urban and ugly so we went for this one. It's a small farm, the owners have animals that you can feed. It's green and nice, the landscape is beautiful. Bathroom is ok, kitchen is ok. There is a glowworm walk really nice that the owners can guide... More

Booked here last minute (6pm driving off the ferry at Picton) and arrived at 7pm. The drive from the ferry is pretty challenging, especially in the dark so be warned. However, the warming welcome we got more than made up for it. Presented with a friendly smile and a basket of home baked banana and honey muffins we immediately felt... More

Warm muffins on arrival is a lovely touch and an example of the professionalism with which this site is run. Outstandingly clean facilities and a lovely family atmosphere. Spacious rural site. There is a small shop onsite however we didn’t use that. We did buy a copy of a recipe book that raises funds for a local school and it... More

Unfortunately stayed we only for one night at Smiths farm because we had booked a ticket to the ferry from Picton. We would have loved to stay for one or two more nights because it´s just so relaxing and quiet. The surroundings are beautiful and the animals are a joy for the kids. Do go to the nearest waterfall. There... More

We stayed at Smiths Farm Holiday park in a powered site which was an easy drive through site and nicely flat. We were greeted with delicious hot muffins which was a wonderful and welcome surprise! This is the kind of park that if you can, get there so you have time to explore as well. There are gorgeous and friendly... More

We planned to stay for just the night, but ended up staying for three. The staff are so friendly, always helping, and the site itself is really cozy with nice clean toilets, showers and kitchen area. Oh yeah and there's farm animals!! Truly fantastic.

We arrived on the late ferry from the North Island tired and in need of a campsite. Those closer to the ferry were full and we had the pleasure of finding Smiths. Although it was relatively late we were greeted warmly and with warm muffins! The site is set in beautiful countryside and very peaceful. There are some friendly sheep... More
