overall stay was pleasant even though we were there for a funeral. the location was close to where we needed to be for service and to visit the family. I have noting more to say just need to get to the max words.

Turns out this is a nice place to stay in Brookings. Room was clean and the shower was hot. The free breakfast was good and that staff was very helpful. I really appreciated their willingness to move me when I requested a move (I had a very noisy crew next door and the staff was extremely helpful on dealing with... More

Stay one night in a two-room suite. Shopped around online for suites in the area and this seemed like the best value for the advertised amenities. Upon arrival, the front desk area was small and old looking, so I was a bit nervous. However, our room was very clean and very nice. The livingroom area included a wet bar, fridge,... More

Great hotel. Good value. Had a jacuzzi suite. It was very spacious and large. Really enjoyed it. Very nice indoor pool and jacuzzi as well. Used to stay across street at Hampton inn. But they don't have a jacuzzi. Only pool. And housekeeping goes home by 11. So if u weren't up by then. Your room wouldn't b cleaned. Didn't... More

This was just one stop for us on a cross-country roadtrip. The property is located right on the interstate, on the east edge of town, sharing the exit with the other top 4 rated hotels in Brookings. The Hampton Inn and Super 8 are next door, as is an Applebees restaurant, and a light industrial park mostly occupied by Daktronics.... More

We stopped in Brookings on our way to the Black Hills. The renovation really helped with this hotel. The young man who checked in wasn't able to anwer some basic questions and wasn't too concerned about trying to find out answers. The room was nice. Our kids swam in a very small pool. It said it was 3 ft to... More

We found ourselves on a Laura Ingalls Wilder detour, and this place is right between De Smet and Walnut Grove. Everything is basic, but basically done right. The rooms are clean and fresh, the service welcoming, and the pool fun for kids (even those who have been to better hotel pools before). We did experience some highway noise in our... More

We stayed here for only one night on our way home after a long road trip. The hotel was nice and conveniently situated right off of I-29. We checked in late so we did not use the pool, but we could see it on the way to our room. Typical small indoor pool. Rooms were clean, not overly decorated. Disappointed... More

This is a very convenient location to SDSU and getting to campus if that is what brings you to Brookings. Even though it is close to the highway, either the windows are more sound proofed, or it is the orientation of the building not being directly parallel to the road that makes the difference. Everything was clean, updated, comfortable and... More

I stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Brookings, SD, overnight for business, and had a great experience. Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms looked to be practically new, breakfast items selection was very good (they had bona fide Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage, egg & cheese muffins – yum), and room was quiet. Would recommend this hotel without question.
