With few exceptions I find chain hotels boring. The architecture and room are predictable , the in-room ventilation system is noisy, the complimentary breakfast lame. My experience at Songbird Manor stood in sharp contrast to that. While the exterior wood portion of the 1919 brick home is in need of paint, the interior is exquisitely maintained and beautifully but not... More

What a rare find ! On a stopover from Cleveland to Orlando we wanted to stay somewhere other than the conventional hotel chain. Susan the innkeeper was terrific . Easy to find off of I77. Directions are spot on on the webpage. We had the place to ourselves , the rooms are immaculate the breakfast was absolutely delicious in the... More

A grand old house built in 1925. We stopped here on the way to North Carolina to ride dirt bikes. It's beautiful inside. Susan did a nice job on the pancakes one morning and the waffles the next day. She works at the Chamber so any advice you need on the area is available. We had access to a coffee... More

We stayed here several days and it was a real find! Beautiful rooms and Susan, the owner, was very accommodating. We went with another couple and there was a sitting area between our rooms upstairs where we spent evenings together before retiring. There was a coffee maker, fridge, etc. available upstairs and we each had our own bathroom. Very nice... More

We only stayed one night and it was in the middle of the week. So we were the only ones there. We were there doing research on our family history. Our host was very helpful in giving us information on a place we could go and get help. It turned out to be a wonderful help. The home is very... More

Very relaxing. Susan made our stay so enjoyable. She either stayed up and waited for us or left the lights on for us. Breakfast was wonderful! The home is 101 yrs old and the inside is beautiful. The furniture, window treatments take your breath away. We at first wondered how two ladies like us would be able to handle the... More

This fine old house is lucky to have Susan to look after it and we hope the house will make Susan comfortable, they both deserve prosperity. Parking is at the rear and the front of the house has a large two storey i think veranda and two-storey pillars (the house is about a century old).We were received with a warm... More

I happened to be working in Winnsboro for the SCDOT, for what was supposed to only be 7 days, and turned into 7 weeks. After commuting for the first week of work from Asheville, NC, I decided to look for a place to stay in town. After looking at all the hotels and seeing the horrible reviews, I decided to... More

After staying in many B&B's in SC, I would give this my number one vote. The inn is furnished beautifully with period furniture, the rooms are beautiful. The amenities were superb and breakfast was incredible. This one sets the standard.

We found the Songbird Manor last year while we were in town for the Spartan Race in Winnsboro. It was perfect and knowing that we were going to be there again for another race this year, we didn't hesitate to reserve a room for the weekend. Susan was very accommodating around our schedule and everything was fantastic! I'm pretty picky... More
