Magnolia House Inn - 04/17/04.
We stayed only one night, but I did enjoy this place.
The house itself is really neat. Old, large...grand would be a better word. Although this great old place needs a fair amount of minor renovation, it has lots of charm. The innkeepers care for this very large place by themselves, and his health is challenged at present. They are both friendly, and had some great stories.
I was surprized that there was quite a bit of dust, and on the whole the Inn could have been much more tidy. But it didn't really bother me because the
overall effect of this place isn't much diminished by some dust. The bathroom was spotless.
Liz shared with us that they purchased this Inn "lock stock and barrel" about 5 yrs ago. That it was already furnished and decorated as it currently is when they brought it.
They served wine in the evening, and Liz served ours to us in our room as we were just getting stowed away after arrival.
