I say I felt right at home, because I did; except for the fact that this "home" came equipped with a valet, butler, chef, concierge and housekeeper. I could not have had a nicer, more relaxing two nights. I like the feel of an old home because you DO feel like a guest instead of a room number. The room... more

Woodlands Inn, a 5 star, Virtuoso property, is exactly the peaceful, graceful location to stay when visiting anywhere in eastern South Carolina. The hotel is elegant, secluded, and perfectly welcoming. We traveled from the North Georgia mountains to spend one night at Woodlands Inn, with our dog, Lou. The driveway into the property leads from a busy area into the... more

We have stayed in fine inns all over the United States and found the Woodlands to be a hidden gem. The staff was exactly what you would expect in a fine Inn - attentive but not overbearing. We enjoyed the afternoon tea and drinks in the sunroom. The resaurant, though is the star of this Inn. We had the 5... more

My husband and I spent a night away from the kids. We found the inn to be quiet, remote, and relaxing. Our dinner was superb. The food was unique and had wonderful flavor and presentation. I would recommend to anyone trying to getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life or for a night of romance. more

We made a reservation for lunch due to the excellent Mobile Star Rating as well as the restaurant belongs to Relais & Chateaux (our favourite hotel chain, especially when it comes to culinary hideaways). We came from Kiawah Island where we stayed the Sanctuary and received a very cold welcome from a young lady at the reception who showed us... more

I am deeply disappointed that we did not meet this guests, or our, expectations. I urge Mr. Hesse to contact me directly so I can personally resolve this regrettable experience. Bob Seidler, General Manager

My husband and I needed a hotel to stay in while we traveled from upstate New York to Palm Coast Florida with our two small poodles. I had checked some pet friendly hotels via TripAdvisor and was surprised to learn that many people had complained about other hotels close to I95 as either being dirty, buggy or in bad areas.... more

We just got back from one night at the Inn, and I'm a bit disappointed. The service was good. The room was nice. And dinner was OK. All in all, it was OK. Which, based on the 5-star ratings and the price, means it was a true disappointment. When we arrived at the door, there was no one outside to... more

Woodlands is fantastic! We enjoyed beautiful rooms with brand new TVs and gas fireplaces. The decor is quite beautiful and the entire resort was decorated lavishly for Christmas season. The food and service at Woodlands is superb. We enjoyed the beautiful dining room for dinners and breakfasts of delicious food. Our guest said "This was the best meal I have... more

This was one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. My husband and I are in our early 30's and we have a 20 month old who we took with us. We've always wanted to check out the South and we thought it would be great to spend thanksgiving (just the three of us) in a random hotel. The... more

Woodlands is small- 19 rooms. It is truly worth the drive from Charleston and the above average cost. The pool is beautiful with thick lounge chairs and the bocce ball was so much fun. I found myself enjoying the escape from crowded Charleston. At this resort, it's as if you have a beautifully staffed luxurious private home. The staff is... more
