Stayed here on the way to Charleston. Considering it was around 1:00 AM, we were only looking for a place to sleep at a cheap price! KEEP THIS IN MIND - YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. For a total of around $63 with taxes & fees (which was WAY too high for this place), we got the most basic... more

I saw the review from 4 years ago and thought maybe there was an over reaction. When we walked into our "no-smoking" room, it smelled of smoke. There was absolutely what looked like blood on the walls and at heights that would be akin to a forensics investigation. The first night I psent an hour or so killing the outrageous... more

My husband and I stayed in Summerville for one night to complete some of the activities around Charleston before heading into the Historic District. We did not choose a hotel until the day we needed to stay and we were looking for the cheapest price. The EconoLodge had the cheapest price (I called most of the hotels in the area)... more

As others said: the room was clean, the bed was good, the staff was friendly, the continental breakfast was OK. Quoted $62.99 per night for 2 nights. At checkout they present you with a minutely detailed invoice showing: line by line per night : room charge, state tax, county tax, occupancy tax, sales tax and a "Safe Warranty", sales tax... more

We stopped here on our way to Charleston and were completely unsurprised by the entire experience. The room was clean, the bed was fine, the staff was friendly, the continental breakfast was adequate but not spectacular. When you choose a hotel chain with "Econo" in the name, you're not likely to find yourself swathed in luxury. It was nothing to... more

I had reservations for 2 nights in April. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel. Due notice was given within the time limit of our need to cancel reservations. I was billed on my credit card anyway and after many telephone conversations no resolution has been reached. The Econo Lodge manager said I was there and checked out when... more

We reserved a room here, since there were some big events in town & all the other hotels were filled. My wife barely crossed the threshhold before she'd decided she wasn't staying. Paint was peeling off one wall (a good bit of paint, not little flakes.) Apparently, water came down the wall when it rained & the paint was blistering... more

We week-ended there before going on to Charleston. Not fancy but clean and reasonable. Also had high speed internet access. The breakfast was good but the room stayed crowded for hours.(no one left, just sat and talked) A very good restaurant just next door. more
