We stayed in a three bedroom, two bath cabin with lake view. Lovely view and everything you could need in this well-appointed cabin. We rented a pontoon boat and saw water falls and had a picnic on the water. Paved walking trail and docks along with a beach make it lovely.

We stayed three nights in the villa when our original plans did not work out elsewhere. Our family of 4 was very comfortable there. We stayed in villa 12 and was pleased with the proximity to the dock and shore. While in the water, there was plenty of shade in the cove or around the corner. Our girls loved hanging... More

We were tent camping for Memorial Day weekend, when we paid for the campsite it was an outrageous price for a weekend plus we were forced to pay for an extra day we weren't even there. When we arrived, we set up the tents then the rangers came by at night to tell us that we couldn't have the tents... More

The 20 villas at this state park are far from roughing it. They are affordable, well appointed and have great access to the lake and hiking trails. Make sure you bring plenty of food, since the closest grocery store is 15+ miles away. Nice outdoor grills, fireplaces, screened porches. Our family has been coming here in the fall/winter for several... More

This is a review mostly of the lodging. Our family stayed in Villa 19, a 2-bedroom villa. It sleeps 6, which means two on a sleeper sofa. Views of the lake, but not lakefront. Pros: Fantastic screened-in porch! Picnic table and four chairs and a coffee table. Decent sized living area seats 5; dining table seats 6; and adequate kitchen.... More

I was not sure what to expect from the state park. We stayed in the villas (7). They were much nicer than I expected. The decore was very modern . They were very clean . The dock was well kept. The only problem was the boat rental company( not involved with the state park at all). They kept trying to... More

I used to think of South Carolina only because of its coastal lowlands. After being to Devil's Fork State Park I can tell you that the state has alot more to offer. The State Route 11 is a beautiful drive only matched by the scenery when you arrive at Devil's Fork. There are beautiful mountians, lakes and waterfalls. We stayed... More
