We stopped here after driving all day from Florida on the way to NY. The other hotels in the area were all booked so we had no choice. We walked into the room and there was a mirror on the ceiling and Christmas lights hanging from the ceiling. The bathroom could have been cleaner also. We sat on the bed... More

Good location for a stop overnight and cheap. Every other 1star motel was wanting $70-80 a night because it was a holiday weekend. We paid $50 and it served us fine. Needs some outlets repaired but otherwise clean, good beds, good carpet, 2 fridges lol, microwave, tv ok, shower was hot and room was clean. Maid service was lacking, 2... More

We stayed in room 146. Very nice for $50/night. New carpet. Very clean. Big refrigerator. Microwave. Nice bedding. No bugs! Nice cars in the parking lot. Best place we've stayed at going to and from Florida.

The room was only for one night at $40 for two people and it's right off the i-95 exit so the price and location was convenient but the room had a musky smell and in the middle of the night I spotted a roach on the wall. On top of all that, the refrigerator did not work and the television... More

We checked in on Friday, April 6 (2013). Although it was a dirty room, we were desperate- had been driving for about 11 hours and needed sleep- all other motels along the highway were filled. We were displeased with the condition as soon as we entered the room but willing to stay because our son was exhausted. This is the... More

My wife and I had our first encounter ever with bedbugs at this motel. It is located just off I-95 (exit 21) in Ridgeland, SC. The owner was a very nice fellow but the motel is run down and dirty. I checked in with my wife and daughter on Friday, March 29 (2013). Although it was a dirty room, we... More

My wife and I stayed here on our way back to NYC. The Indian (yes the India Indian) in the main office was very nice and we got the handicap room 147 since they were filling up (we are not handicapped). There were a few light stains in the towels, a water stain on the wallpaper in the bathroom. The... More

By far the worst place I have ever stayed my entire life. 1. The lobby: Reeked of curry! No, not the "hint of something cooking" kind, but the "I vacuum the disgusting carpets with curry seasoning" kind. That is the only thing my friends could smell on me when I came back to the car. That smell alone made me... More

Although the price was great and the reviews on this site were fine, this is not a place I would ever stay at again. Our family booked only because of this sites reviews; very wary of a good deal. Keep in mind, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. This was a nasty motel. If it... More

For those of us who make long driving trips on I-95, Carolina Lodge is a good value for a place to spend a night. We paid a flat $40.00, arriving about 9:30 p.m. on a Friday in late June. Check-in was quick, and the large room offered two queen beds, full-size refrigerator, microwave, and coffee-maker (we didn’t have time for... More
