This is a much overdue review. Our daughter Shelby got married at the Pelican inn (well actually at the little chapel down the street.. but all the festivities were at the Inn). It was last November 2013 and the weather could have been terrible but wasn't..it was perfect for an out door reception. She married a local young man and... More

Corinne's Pelican Inn on Pawley's Island is the real deal: a beach inn that quietly offers great service and food--two meals daily included in the price--while you take in the sand, the ocean, the marsh, and lazy midday snoozes on the porch that always seems to catch breezes. The rooms are spotlessly clean but beachy--Pawley's likes to call itself 'arrogantly... More

The Inn is a wonderful old beach house, with two full meals provided daily. Comparing our recent stay with prior ones, we've concluded that perhaps the other guests with whom you are sharing the inn make all the difference in the experience. There are just eight rooms, and as other reviews have noted, no sound barriers between them. We really... More

The staff of Pawley's Pelican outdid themselves AGAIN! As breakfast and lunch are included in your stay, the girls do a FABULOUS job! From a breakfast spread of Bacon, ham, sausage, eggs, grits, sweet bread and fruit... FABULOUS! The dinner (mid-day meal) could include Low Country Boil, Fabulous Fried Chicken, Ribs, Beer Bread, salad, and fruit. And don't forget the... More

The Pelican Inn continues the great tradition of guest houses, inns from Pawleys' past. If you remember The Tip Top, The Cassina you'll love The Pelican Inn. It's like summer camp for the whole family. The rooms are comfortable, neat, clean. The bathrooms are shared. You should bring extra towels and beach chairs. The food is past wonderful with a... This is the best B&B I have ever stayed in. The food is crazy good and has inspired my husband and I to try out some of their dishes. The fried chicken is AMAZING! The key-lime pie is out-of-this-world good. The sheets feel fantastic, the decor is adorable, and this place is clean. The family who owns and runs this... More

We had the most fantastic relaxing stay for 5 idyllic days and nights at the Pelican Inn. The food was gorgeous, fresh local produce and traditional South Carolinan cuisine. Everyone staying there seemed relaxed, friendly and welcoming, sharing the large comfortable living room during a storm or chatting in the hammocks on the cool wide veranda. Corinne and her daughters... More

I have been to this inn many times over my lifetime. It is a treasure. "Communal" is the word to describe the Pelican Inn. First of all, breakfast and lunch are served family style on the great enclosed porch, and it is delicious. We enjoy meeting new people, so this is great. It has a very "summer camp" feel. There... My wife and I had a great time at the Pelican Inn. The location is beautiful. The food is amazing. The owners are very nice. The property is full of history. Overall it was a very relaxing trip. You don't necessarily have the most privacy. Some rooms have a shared bathroom and others have their own; but that didn't deter... More
