first time staying here , it is a older motel but well keep. The room has ocean view and very clean. Being an older motel was surprise to have Internet, free coffee in the rooms and no bug was a BIG plus. Will stay again .

I have been staying at the Pelican for almost 20 years! The rooms are not fancy but very adequate especially the ones with stove and refrigerator. The biggest draw for this place is location, location, location!! A fantastic pool with immediate access to the beach makes this a God-send for me (I have a handicapped mother that comes along). Everything... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for an excellent rate. Hotel was clean, decent view of the ocean, and good access to ocean through the pool or the parking lot. Quick access to grocery stores and other places across the street. Also, excellent courteous staff.

You better be prepared to keep all of your belongings off of the floor. 3rd floor ocean front had roaches. Parking was limited but that is common on this strip. My trip was a make up from a cancelled trip from two weeks ago and vacancies were a problem so I settled on this place in a pinch. My biggest... More

We hadn't stayed at the pelican in about 5 years until last month. We knew to get ocean view but had forgotten just how great it would be. It's such a short walk to the sand, groceries, etc. We don't look for luxury accomodations, just a clean, inexpensive room in which to eat, shower and sleep. We did pay a... More

This is an older hotel, but the rooms were very clean and spacious. We only stayed one night , but we had a good time at a great price ($111 for a Friday night). Lots of places to eat and shop nearby. This is not four star but we found it clean and close to the beach.

This place has definitely been here a while long before most of the condo projects were ever thought of. It is right on the beach but also has a nice pool. Our room was updated with new carpet and the bathroom had new tile and fixtures. We were on the third floor and had a great ocean view. No elevator... More

They rent to locals who appear to attract the police, who came to the hotel several times. No thanks on staying here again. Rooms also had roaches. We priced rooms in other hotels for next year and found some cheaper and nicer.

Great ocean front location and a good overall value. Clean! Nice staff. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. Nice walkability to plenty of places too. The only thing that could be improved would be sound absorption between rooms. We had very loud people above us who made it difficult to sleep.

Older hotel but just felt at home, not like upperclass snobby locations. If your looking for 5 stars stay elsewhere. If your looking for a good value with a great location this is your place. Our room was clean, roomy and perfect for us. We had a second floor oceanview with double bed, sofa, chair, coffee table and flat screen... More
