We just returned from Myrtle Beach for business meetings. We actually did not stay overnight at The Reef but were there two days for meetings in their confrence room. Our overnight stays were at Jonathan Harbour, a sister hotel (also a very nice, family orentated complex). We were very impressed with the condition of the reef and as well with... more

We arrived at The Reef after being too late to check in at her sister hotel. They referred us to the reef and we were suprised! The front desk staff were very friendly and let us inspect the room before checking in. We were on the 6th floor and I loved it. Everything was set up nice and the dishes... more

The location of the reef was excellent, there was a convenience store across the street, and we had an ocean front room near the pool. They has an indoor and outdoor pool which was very nice. The room was pretty pitiful. The carpet was old and worn and dirty. The chairs' upholstry was dirty and stained. The beds were rock... more

We had a great, week-long stay in a two bedroom suite at The Reef in July. I think the reviewers here, with all of the terrible reviews, are the FEW that are disgruntled for whatever reason, and so they actually take the time to write a review. Considering that the hotel was absolutely packed while we were there, I would... more

I wanted to take a relaxing vacation with my husband and four kids. So I reserved the hotel room with two beds. When I got there, they told me the only room available was a room with one bed. Some of us had to sleep on the floor, while my kids of age 3 and 1 slept in the one... more

if u like to dance to the music of the cmplimentary band, DONT! the managment is not very polite or couteous to the residents that are staying, and very pushy. It seems that their eyes on you at all times during your stay. Its not a very good atmosphere at all. We had stayed there for the last 3 years.... more

We have stayed at The Reef atleast 10 times over the past 15 + years. I was able to get a really good deal online by booking through an email I received for being on their customer list. After booking our room, I read the online reviews, and I was pretty worried about what we would encounter when we arrived.... more

We stayed on Sun. and paid (w/tax) $112. We had top floor and it was great. We stayed at 3 total hotels this time and it was by far the best. I'd love to go back there next year. more

Overall we had a good stay @ The Reef. For our family of 4 we got a great deal online esp for it to be the middle of busy season @ the beach. This is our 3rd time staying here and its close to everything and the rooms are very spacious and of course we were on the beachside too!... more

We arrived with a eight day stay planned, the room was very dirty and had a funny smell....we had a 2 bedroom suite, one of the bedroom we could not even open the door all the way without hitting the full size bed....very small. Food crumbs in the corner and trash on the ground. We tried to make due until... more
