My husband and I stayed at this property last month. Upon arrival, I went to check in. The guy I dealt with was reasonably polite but not friendly at all. However, there was a woman checking in at the same time dealing with another guy. When she mentioned that she had requested a room on a particular floor, he was... More

We stayed here with some friends so we got a two bedroom suite. The suite was basically a studio with walls built in -- making it very small. The kitchen was tiny, could hardly walk past each other in the hall, bathroom floor very slick when wet (moisture gathered on floor). The room was affordable -- I wouldn't pay the... More

My wife and i arrived late Oct 2nd and was given a room that was beyond disgusting(room 1107). We asked to see another room(408) and it reaked of Mildew but had to settle for it cause was told they had no more rooms for our 3 nite stay. Had to buy Lysol to spray in room and still not much... More

Dear TimothyA, The Reef follows best hotel practices regarding pest preventative maintenance, staff training and guest service. We outsource pest control to the leading commercial pest control company, Ecolab. In reviewing the Manager on Duty log, there was nothing noted about a concern of bed bugs in that room, so I apologize but I do not have information to address... More

We have stayed at this property for years. we are always greeted with friendly staff and a nice room. the only thing that needs some attention is the elevators. They are a bit scary from time to time, but hey your on vacation, everyone needs a little excitement in their life, right. DEFINITELY get a higher level floor, it's the... More

Dear Ryan T, Thank you for returning to the Reef again this year! We sure appreciated you mentioning the staff and the views. Sometimes, we are remiss in telling folks that every room has a full view of the ocean. We look forward to seeing you again soon. More

We were there last weekend for a 5 day stay. I was really disappointed in the hotel. Staff was nice but the room was sadly lacking. We complained to management about our room safe not working properly and the breaker that worked the kitchen area kept going off. Other than those 2 issues - the air conditioner in the main... More

The Reef is a great place to stay. Yes this hotel is old and run down but it is clean. We had some problems with our room when we checked in. They comped us part of our stay for that day since we had a rough first day. The staff is polite and very helpful. If your looking for fancy... More

Dear NatalieB, We regret that the Reef's accommodations did not meet your expectations, but do take offense at your comments. We strive to provide professional guest service and complaint resolution. Our review of the Manager on Duty and Maintenance logs do not contain any information about a ceiling issue, so I cannot address those allegations. More

Excellent is really the only way to describe our experience. The front desk staff is friendly and very helpful, the rooms were clean and very spacious. The place is always clean and very close to so many attractions.
