My 'older' relatives have owned a time share here for years and we came down 15 years ago and it was great, what I remember anyway. Unfortunately it looks exactly the same, same applicances, same beds, same partying, same people. Everything is just 15 years older. Not very clean, refrigerator is rusting, half lights and applicances don't work. This place... more

My wife and I booked a week's vacation at the Sands Ocean then we looked at the reviews afterwards (backwards, I know). We were really nervous about the place after we read all of the negative reviews and were wondering if we made a mistake. We decided to try it still and I am glad we did. The place was... more

My family stayed at this hotel/condotel over Valentine's weekend. We were in town to look at condo units for purchase, and one realtor recommended this hotel. (So glad she was not my realtor in the end if this is supposed to be nice!) In a way, I was glad we stayed here because there was a unit for sale in... more

Have been at this resort for 10 years. Never any problems, except for the sliding doors which they fix when requested to do so. Love Ocean Annie's, breakfast buffet, pool and ocean. Will be staying there again this year for the World Am Golf more

This place was nasty..we got our money back and went somewhere else. The website didn't tell us that we were actually renting someone's personal villa. It was inconvenient to access, very dark inside, it stunk, and the furniture was very old and dirty. Be very careful if you decide to stay here! more

Wow, what a dump this place turn out to be. My first visit to this hotel, and will be my last visit there. The rooms are so out dated and dirty. I went out and bought something to clean the bathrooms before I used them. They charge you in advance and there is no refunds at all. They have an... more

The accomodations were substandard at best. Outdated, old & mismatched furniture. Filthy bathrooms, hair everywhere. The only way we were able to get more than towels in our room was to leave a note with money every day! I never walked bare foot the entire week and I showered with flip flops on even after I cleaned the showers myself.... more

This year was my 7th year in a row staying at this hotel. Had a room on the 15th floor overlooking Ocean Annies from 8/16 - 8/29. I think some of the reviewers need to lighten up a bit and tone down their rhetoric. My own personal belief is that I visit M.B. to play golf (World Am), see the... more

I have just returned from a Labor Day weekend at The Sands. It was the WORST vacation I have ever experienced. There were nothing but problems starting with parking at the Sands resort across the street on the 4th floor and having to carry our luggage down 4 flights of stairs because the elavators were not working. I then tried... more
