This hotel is located in Mrytle Beach. It is an okay hotel. We went during the July 4th weekend. Fireworks were displayed from 9 to about 3 in the morning. Very noisy. The hotel itself is in serious need of renovations. It needs to be closed and remodeled again. Doors creep, halls smell and carpet needs cleaning. Housekeeping was lazy.... more

We are here now and extremely disappointed with the new owner. We have stayed here at least once a year since 2002. After this year's experience, we probably won't come back. It depends on whether the manager will fix our current probelms. The common areas are not as clean as they used to be and you can smell the trash... more

The Ocean Dunes is not what you think. The pictures on there website are decieving. It has the potenial of being a good place to stay, but they really need to work at it. On our visit there we were first given a smoking room when we asked for non-smoking, they did eventually find us one, after several hours of... more

I feel this could have been one of the most horrible experiences a traveler could experience. Let me paint a picture for you. I paid $580 for a three night stay expecting in October to be at the very least a side view ocean front clean and comparable with my lifestyle, dwelling. My God! I was asked to stay in... more

My mom and I stayed at the Ocean Dunes as part of a timeshares vacation package. Overall, the appearance was fine. The hotel is older and you can see the wear and tear. I was very skeptical staying here after reading some of the other reviews. We checked into our room and after about an hour or two we soon... more

After reading the other reivews I was nervous prior to my stay. We had a two bedroom villa at the Villa II building. We had the option of parking under the building (which in the rain was nice because the elevator took you straight there and you didn't get wet) or outside around the premises. The rooms were clean, spacious,... more

This Hotel Must be UpdatedTO BECOME MORE OF A FAMILLY RESORT . When you walk into the hotel lobby to check in, YOUR VERY AWARE OF THE FURNITURE AND THE CARPET AND THE ATTENTION TO LITTLE DETAILS.....that no one really seem to care much about this facility ( WHICH MAY HAVE BEEN GREAT AT ONE TIME) .....at present this is... more

After reading some of the earlier reviews I was very scared. I almost cancelled my reservation, but I am so glad that I didn't. I have made many trips to Myrtle Beach (2-4 per year) for many years. For the last 5 years I have stayed in a condo owned by a family friend, so I was definitely worried about... more

My husband and I decided on Myrtle Beach this year rather than a cruise, as we both love golfing. We went online and checked the resort then called our travel agent to set up a golf package. She recommended the Ocean Dunes so we booked a 4 night package (ended up staying 5 nights) in a one bedroom suite. Two... more

My parents and I had stayed at this hotel many times when I was a teenager. It was always above average and comfortable. Apparently a hotel can go way downhill in the span of a few years. We booked a 2 bedroom Villa because there was going to be my parents, me and my boyfriend, my brother, sister-in-law, and nephew.... more
