A good friend of mine had referred me to this hotel and I immediately booked with them. After booking I checked into the reviews that others had written out of curiosity. Based on their reviews I will say this...if you are looking for a fancy 5 star hotel you should look elsewhere. If you are looking for a great place... more

Mystic Sea is one of the cheapest hotels right on the beach...it's old, but they work very hard to keep it clean and it's a great bargin. We were there for the Hot Dog roast...it's was very cute and my kids had a blast. It is just what we expect it to be...you can't beat it for the price! If... more

My family and I just got back from the Mystic Sea. When we got there it started out bad. We were told the room would be ready at 3 and of course it wasnt. We had 2 kids under 2 that had been in the car for 12 hours and they told us they would call us when the room... more

My boyfriend has been to the Mystic Sea many times but this was my first. We stayed across the street in a room that had French double doors onto a little balcony with an efficiency. All of the staff were very friendly. Our room was cleaned very well everyday. One of our lightbulbs burned out and they replaced it within... more

We just got back from our latest stay at the Mystic Sea. We had two rooms on the 3rd floor. Rooms were very clean, everything was in working condition. We were able to check in early, the staff as usual was pleasant and friendly. The maids checked with us daily. The pool, grounds and hot tub were clean. You can... more

The hotel compared to the high rises that are on both sides seems to be from the 1950's. I guess if that does not bother you then it would be nice for you. I like modern hotels with the extras. It was clean and tidy but it lacked extra plugins so if you want to use a hair dryer or... more

I spent three days and two nights in The Charleston House section of Mystic Sea with a party of three adults and two children. We stayed June 20 - 22, 2008. You get what you pay for... the rooms are sleezy and the bathrooms are cramped. The first night of our stay, our tires were slashed, as well as six... more

we have stayed in the mystic building(oceanfront efficiency), we have also in the past stayed in the condos. we think that the mystic is charming and very nicely maintained. the rooms and the condo were all clean upon arrival. the rooms were plenty large enough(we have stayed in smaller rooms at other large resorts). we love the ocean view from... more

We stayed the first week of June 2007 and had a great time. Very good value. We actually stayed in the property across the street called the Charleston House. We stayed in an efficiency room with a private balcony that overlooked "the strip" but we had a good view of the ocean. The Charleston House has it's own pool as... more

I stayed 7 nights in the property across the street from the hotel. There was plenty of parking and could sleep up tp eight people. The little house was clean, but older. Every night they had a hot dog cook out at the pool w/ chips & lemonade for the guest. If you are looking for inexpensive, but clean place... more
