Were should I start I am in the military and googled alot of hotels, and saw blue water. When I spoke with Amy to reserve my room she was very friendly and advised me of the policies of the $100 and non refundable first night stay. Apparently what she forgot to tell me was you have to ask to "GO... more

We went out for independence day weekend. The room was nothing too special but you can't beat the location right on the beach. We really liked having a full kitchen right in the room. The parking deck for the hotel is a couple blocks away but it's really not that inconvenient as long as you're not going to your car... more

The resort has three buildings. An Oceanfront Tower and two villas across the street from the ocean. Each unit is individually owned. With this, owners renovate at different times. We have a special "Go Green" which a guest can opt out of housekeeping services for a discounted rate. With this special, or if a do not disturb sign is on...

I came down with some friends from Charlotte to stay the weekend. The front desk staff was extremely nice & helpful. Branden showed us rooms until we found the perfect one for us & Manager Amy (seemed like his girlfriend) gave us a really good deal when we come back in August. Thank you guys for a spectacular vacation last... more

I stayed at Bluewater Villas June 22-26, 2009. The pictures of the rooms on the internet look NOTHING like the actual rooms. The best thing about this resort is their pools. On the villas side there is a pool and a small lazy river....this was the best part of the whole stay! They do keep their pools really clean. If... more

My husband and I went to Myrtle Beach S.C. with my parents for the 4th of July. We booked a room at the BlueWater resort and to say we were dissapointed with the hotel would be a great understatement. When we arrived at the at the "resort" the room was not yet ready at our check in time. The lobby... more

The resort does not have a grill area. If a unit is not available on arrival, guests are offered a parking pass and access to the property. Each unit is individually owned. With that, owners renovate at different times. In the case with the stated guest, the only available unit had not been recently renovated. When the guest expressed dissatification,...

We booked a girls trip to Myrtle Beach back in April. Being that it was the end of the year (we're school teachers by the way), a vacation was a must!! After booking with the Bluewater Resort, I began seeing this horrible reviews about the resort. Needless to say I was VERY worried about our accomodations. However, I was pleasantly... more

Bluewater resort is an okay stay for what you pay. It IS a little run down. Lazy river pool and restaurant were closed. It was tolerable for us because we basically used the room for sleep. Would not recommend this hotel for anyone with small kids or anyone who has trouble getting around. The floors in our unit were SLICK... more

Each unit is individually owned. With this, each unit is decorated different. We have units with tile floors, as well as carpet.

We checked in on 6/20/09 for 7 days. I had read prior reviews and was a little nervous as to what we would find upon arrival. I followed another poster's advice and asked to see our room before we had checked in. (Great advice - I recommend it!) The room was fine - two double beds in the bedroom, a... more

Our family was booked for three nights, but our one night stay was absolutely horrible. The pictures of the rooms on the internet were deceitful. We were assigned to room 309 and it was absolutely horrible. I don't understand how the S.C. building inspector could allow this room to be rented out. Several electrical outlets did not have covers. The... more

All units are individually owned. With that, owners renovate at different times. If a guest brings a concern to management, we try to correct the problem. Desk clerks try to help as much as possible, although, like with any company, certain options are only available to management. When management was made aware of this guest's dissatification, we were more than...

I booked my reservation on line, when i arrived at the hotel i was asked for a copy of my drivers licenses. I advised the clerk that i would not let them see my drivers licenses, but i would not allow them to copy my drivers licenses. so he went in the back and was gone forever, he comes back... more
