We just returned from a trip to Pirateland. Unlike some of the other reviews, we did not find that the bathhouses were dirty. As well, we also found that there was adequate patrol of the roadways in the park. We constantly saw the patrol car and actually were told not to allow our son on our lap when driving the... more

The place is nice but way overcrowded. The RV sites have odd utility layouts that require Sewer and AC line extensions in order to hook them to your RV.. "and of course they sell them onsite" The place is over run with children running around on golf carts with no supervision of any kind even though the rules clearly state... more

Where to begin? We stayed at this park about 5 years ago and had a great time. We couldn't believe the bad reviews, until this latest trip. When we made reservations, we informed the woman taking the information that we had a 12 ft. pop-up that took up 24 ft. when extended, a tent, and an extra vehicle that we... more

service was good at checkin and at the store. The shower and bathrooms was allway dirty no matter what time you went. And they had to many golf carts running around everywhere not paying attention where they was going and had the music blasting till almost midnight. They said they had a age limit of 16 to drive the golf... more

We just returned from a week long trip to Pirateland. We had a blast. However there were some issues - The worst was the lack of showers at the beach, yes we had an outdoor shower on the camper but it was a long walk. We finally just started using the somewhat near by bath house for rinsing off sand.... more

My family of 4 stayed at a oceanfront site in our popup. We had a great week at Pirateland. Checkin was very nice and fast. When we arrived at our site there was a van parked in the spot but the campers next to us moved it right away. We had pleanty of room for all our camping equipment. I... more

We had reservations for a week. We left a day early because we were being invaded by small ants. You could not leave any food out inside your camper or outside the camper or it would be infested with thousands of tiny ants. Went to another campground and the ants were still in the camper. We bombed our camper and... more

We go about every other year! With our family.. they have a camper and we stay in a tent with our 6 yr old. She loves it! There are golf carts to rent and paddle boats, mini golf and a lazy river. We never do any of that. But, theres lots of shade and good company definately for a family..... more

My husband, daughter ( age 4) and myself stayed at Pirateland and LOVED IT!! We stayed in a tent on one of the oceanfront sites and loved the location. The area was quiet at night and had plenty to do during the day. Biggest suggestion is to make the sacrifice and get the golf cart. Definitely worth it to join... more
