Overall this is a great family campground with awesome access to the beach and kids activities. The kids loved how close we are to the beach and riding around on the golf carts during the day and cruising at night. The cons...the bathroom facilities are not great (we had a pop up and as soon as we left our 8... More

We are staying here for two weeks and are Ocean front and really love this place. The sites are not to busy as it is off season and the amenities are all great. There is an Indoor and outdoor pool and a hottub as well as every other amenity you can think of. It is clean and well maintained. I... More

Staying here now... and yes.. its beautiful. We brought our piaggio scooter (vespa family) with us as our means of transportation and very bummed that we cannot have at our site... something about noise............but its ok to have your car or your DIESEL pick up truck driving around? AND Cement trucks coming thru in the early am... AND full-size garbage... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. We’re glad to hear that you find the campground beautiful. We are lucky to be in such a great location. The only Scooters allowed must be electric, single seated, and have a handle bar height of at least 36”. We do not allowed gas powered scooters, two-seated scooters, four-wheeled scooters,... More

Our all time favorite campground. Away from all the hustle and bustle. Close to all attractions. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Did I forget to mention very close to beach with pavilions and or concrete pads. We had nothin negative to say about this place. Lots of activities. Nice pool as well as splash pool for children. We always... More

We stayed for a week after Labor Day. The clean but crowded trailer park feel at the beginning opens to a nice campground. The sites with the concrete pad and shelter were worth the extra money for cover and reduced mess around the site. Wifi is iffy at best. Bathrooms were usually clean and the air conditioning was greatly appreciated,... More

We stayed in August 2014 on a pull through cement site. Site was level and the only thing I can think of I didn't like was the sewer inlet was not threaded. By far this is not a deal breaker. We will definitely be returning. Our son loved the putt-putt course and we all enjoyed the pool. Our walk to... More

This was our first time staying here. We pitched a tent on a premium pad. Although it was a little hot for sleeping in a tent, we had a great time anyway! Will stay in a villa next time! Neighbors were friendly, bathroom and beach were really close. Our kids really enjoyed the magic show. The campground store actually had... More

For the most part, we enjoyed our time here. The pool temperature was perfect and we never wanted to leave it. The lazy river was really too warm though, especially considering there was a heat wave when we were there. Like taking a too hot bath. The kids loved the pirate ship play area, it was really nice. The pools... More

This was our third year at Pirateland and each time we've had a wonderful time. We rented a camper from Coastline RV Rental all three years and have always have good luck with our rental camper. The campground is clean and safe. There is on site security who ride the entire campground on golf carts. This year we had a... More

Campground is pretty well located on the strip. 15 min drive down to the boardwalk area and a 15-20 min to Murrells Inlet area and about 1 hr 25 min to Charleston. We camped here early July 2014, we had a site in the Beach Area (yellow sites on the map). There are a lot of people here and while... More
