Just wrapped up family vacation kids had so much fun. We rented a golf cart which was a great help the only issue was the noise at night from the music and fireworks was to be expected we will be going back regardless of that. So many things for the kids to do they should never get bored also a... More

We stayed in the campground for the first time because many have said this is a great place to stay in Myrtle Beach! I beg to differ!!!! This campground is so overcrowded it seems there is too many people and not enough amenities! The pool over flows with people because the beach gets so crowded that this is were everyone... More

This is our second time staying here. Overall, we really enjoy it, people are friendly, staff polite and crime rate low. This year is the first year that I DID NOT feel safe riding a bike because, 90% of the golf carts are not going the 10mph speed limit, they pass you, cut you off and several teenagers deliberately try... We traveled here with friends and stayed in a large house. The house was perfect except it wasn't fully stocked like you would expect to get for $2000/week. We had zero pans to put in the oven and two tiny sauce pans to make meals for 9 people. I understand it is a homeowner thing but just had to forewarn... More

There is a lot to do on the grounds. If you have children, they will have fun on the beach front playground, which was our favorite night time activity. The convenient store was very convenient, the price not so much. Right across the street, there is a Walmart market to get food and stuff. The beach was ok. There are... More

We stayed here June 24th-29th...weather was great, only rained one day. It is very crowded and the golf cart rental prices are really high! Hard to find cart parking to get to the extremely crowded beach. We stayed in a very nice house and were able to park our vehicles there, so vehicle parking is not an issue. Probably best... More

Overall, I do think there are some nice aspects to Ocean Lakes. However, I want everyone to know that if you leave stuff behind in your rental house their policy is to throw it out. I left behind a bag of cosmetics including a practically full bottle of perfume, brand new mascara worth $18, and Clinique lipstick that all got... More

Our families have been coming to Ocean Lakes for the past 12 years, it's the only place we would ever stay at, yes it's wild and wacky sometimes but our kids love it and have a blast every year, I see the negative reviews and have to chuckle, yes the beach gets a little crowded, but it's summer time, it's... We went here on a family vacation which for a whole family is great. It has private ten acres where both adults and children can find something to do. They always offer different activities throughout the week for everyone which are very enjoyable. Our house was directly across from the beach which is perfect during the day but if you... More

Thank you for the feedback. We are so glad that your family enjoyed our activities and amenities. The oceanfront beach houses can be really nice and convenient with easy access to the ocean. I am concerned about the house you stayed in. I am guessing it was a private rental (rather than renting through Ocean Lakes Properties). OLP paperwork asks... More

This is our 3rd year and this time we stayed in site I-13, which is a concrete pad 4 sites back from the ocean. We have now stayed in 3 different sections and we have been pleased in all areas. I still prefer the concrete ocean front sites because they need virtually no leveling and the breeze is amazing. We... More
