Staff was rude, rooms were dirty. The sheets were dirty when we arrived, complained twice about the noise. Did not feel safe staying there.(shouldve known right away since all the doors have bolt locks on them) Checked out the next day. Anything is better than this dump. Absolutely terrible. This hotel doesn't even deserve 1 star.

So me an some family got a room for a week vacation and I was pleasantly surprised. We have a double room with a kitchen and everything was clean house keeping came everyday took our towels trash etc. I don't like how housekeeping will come in your room without you being there though.. We did have a drain problem but... More

We usually go to Orlando for our annual vacation but for financial reasons, decided Myrtle Beach this year would be the best of both worlds - the vacation didn't need to be sacraficed and I could do it within my budget. Which is where the Polynesian Beach & Golf Resort comes in. The off season prices were the best for... More

Mold on the walls. Disgusting had to change rooms and still mold. Sliding balcony door that would not lock, Door to next room sounded like someone was trying to get into our room. Air conditioner sounded like a tank. Barely slept as I did not feel safe.Checked out first thing in the morning. Complained to the hotel and there response... More

This was a total waste of money even though the off season rates were only 29 dollars per night plus tax. The staff was unfriendly, the room was dull and had a tiny towel, yes, 1 Towel that was about 12 by 18 inches! This place looks as though it is held together by layers of paint and strpping tape.... Hotel was extremely run down on a very loud, busy street. Chain link fence surrounded the very small outdoor pool (which was in the front parking lot). Hall carpets were thread bare - could see the floor in some places. Dirty towels were in several piles outside of the rooms on our floor. Our room had no sheets on the... More

As has become our goal when possible, we try to stay in the smaller, local owner hotels instead of the larger resorts and chains. Luckily, in Myrtle Beach, there are still a lot of the smaller, non-chain hotels. Unluckily, this time we chose the Polynesian. It is located on the beach, which is a huge factor in it's favor, and... More

The hotel is beach front and has a small parking garage. The room had cold air and was clean. it's an old property and not very well kept-up. However, it does have wireless internet, free parking, and the staff was friendly. The tub did NOT drain. I mean, at all. I was sickened that water was mid-calf. If you don't... More
