Surrounded by old oaks and tall pines, the small Brookwood Motel in Murrells Inlet, SC, is a delightfully quiet and friendly place to stay. We stayed two nights recently due to a power outage after an ice storm. Left the farm and headed to Murrells Inlet to eat and enjoy the scenery. The motel is run by Joe and Betty... More

An old fashioned motor court near Myrtle Beach at the end of Murrells Inlet's restaurant row. A step into a bygone era with rooms from the 1960s, but comfortable enough. Regretfully for sale, so enjoy it while you can or buy it and preserve it.

My husband and I stayed at this property for 2 nights. I knew from the reviews and pictures on line that it was an older place, but as long as it was clean, we were fine. When we drove up, it felt like we went back in time. It's a motor lodge built in 1950 and still has some of... More

This motel was built in 1950 and has been kept in good condition considering the age. It was exactly what I expected from other reviews on trip advisor. The beds were comfy, rooms were reasonably clean and the price was a bargain. Customer service was very good. We stayed in the Alamo, which is a duplex beside the main motel... More

\As you can plainly see and read, this is an older motel, the type that started America on the road to vacations when we all started getting cars. OLD does not mean BAD! It is small and extremely refreshing. The owner, Robert, is right there working to make sure things are clean and spruced up. The linens were clean, the... More

I agree with all of the other reviews stating that if you are looking for a Hilton, stay at the Hilton. This is a simple older motel that is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of Myrtle Beach. The hotel was established in 1950 and the owners have kept it as nostalgic as possible. The rooms are small... More

I loved it. It is NOT a fancy place, but the mattress was very new and very good and the room was clean and quite comfortable. The grounds were lovely. At this point they have not installed routers and the internet is only available by the office. This was explained before I made my reservation. They have plans for routers... More

The Brookwood Motel in Murrells Inlet, SC is not the Hilton. But if you are looking for an affordable, clean room to rest, relax, and recharge in Murrells Inlet, then the Brookwood Inn is for you! The Brookwood is in a great location -- close enough to the Marshwalk and the Garden City Pier but far enough away from the... More

We just needed about 12 hours to rest before moving on. I like the simple ranch style exterior and quiet area. The rooms need a face lift so don't expect anything fancy in the room. There was a small refrigerator. I didn't even attempt trying the internet. This place will be a gem when the re vamp the rooms. The... More
