Rooms are a little dated and could use a little maintenance. Pool, Gas & charcoal BBQ in common area with State Park beach 2 miles away. Great for a Family Beach outing short of being oceanfront, but why pay for those costs when you can use the money saved for all the attractions in MB.

My son and daughter in law were just married at Wachesaw and the day was simply perfect. Brayer was great to work with even though we were her first wedding after coming back from maternity leave! The staff was super helpful. The food and drinks were wonderful, and the setting is spectacular! Thank you all for such a wonderful experience,... More

We've stayed at Wachesaw twice before and had very clean nice cottages. Not so this time. The cottage was aged. Parts of the master bath were not painted and dusty. Some of the shades in the master bedroom did not work. The screened in porch had a door missing and and some of the screen was torn letting very large wasps... More

The Dunes is my favorite golf course in the Myrtle Beach area. But if you want a challenge with some of the finest greens in the area-paly Wacheshaw. Make sure it is the Plantation course which is private-not Wacheshaw East-one to avoid. You may have trouble getting on it but it worth the effort. The 17th hole par 3 is... More

Good Morning and thank you for the fantastic review. If you are comfortable with contacting me directly I would like to know which day you played so I may address the bag drop employees. I look forward to seeing you the course again soon! I would like for everyone to know that if you book a stay in one of... More

Never having been to South Carolina, we had no idea what to expect of the scenery or the cottage that we had rented for the week. As soon as we passed the security guard at the front, we were greeted by perfectly manicured lawns, huge, twisting oaks covered with ivy and Spanish moss, charming duplexes with picket fences, purple hydrangeas,... I agree completely with Karen F. The other people who have written reviews are talking about Wachesaw EAST and not Wachesaw Plantation. There is a HUGE difference. Wachesaw Plantation does not have condos, they have a limited number of clean, comfortable cottages. The golf course is as good as any in Myrtle Beach. Don't be put off by the bad... More

I have stayed at Wachesaw Plantation East (“WPE”) on 3 separate occasions over the past few years using a timeshare exchange; the most recent stay was in February 2012. The condos were adequate and I opted to stay there rather than Myrtle Beach (which naturally has more options) because of location. WPE should not be confused with Wachesaw Plantation (“WP”)... We stayed at Wachesaw during the first week in October 2012 as an exchange for our Unit in NH. The Resort from the outside is lovely, the golf course is in great shape, the landscaping well done, main office is welcoming and modern. Indoor Pool area could use some updating but acceptable. Then you get into your Unit...the only positive... More

Smelled horrible....old....disgusting furniture....small closet like door separating units which made for a noisy stay. Ceiling fans were dirty. Wouldn't walk around without shoes on insdide the units. Bathroom was small, old, could use a paint job and certainly could have been cleaner. Not what you would expect from a Gold star rating.

My rating may be a bit overly harsh, but the more I stay in time shares, the higher my expectations are. The unit was a one bedroom and was well furnished. It had a screened in porch but we had to go outside and then enter the porch; there was not an entrance directly from the unit. We did not... More
