My best friend and I had the best time lodging and dining at OVPH for 5 nights in late April. We stayed in room 3, Venning Street room. Two twin beds (which were very comfortable after a full day in Charleston and the surrounding areas), closet, Keurig, nice bathroom. Very quaint, lovely, cozy, clean, and perfect. Staff were very friendly... More

Took my Granddaughter on a Spring Break trip and spent 5 nights here last week in the Venning Street room (room #3). It was very comfortable and roomy. We had the twin bed set up, and they were very comfortable. This is an old house, the stairs and floors creek and on the 2nd floor you can hear the kitchen... More

If you are looking for squeaky wood floors, great service, excellent food, and ambience, this is the place for you to be. We snatched up the Maverick Suite just in time as there was only one room left when we decided to spend one night in Mt Pleasant before we finished out the week in the historic district in Charleston.... A nice place to rest and recharge. The rooms are comfortable, clean and blend with the atmosphere of the building and town. Try to get a room away from the dinning areas. The staff (hotel and restaurant) are kind, friendly and work very hard to make you satisfied. The hotel manager is especially great. The breakfast and brunch are excellent... More

We held our wedding in the restaurant of this amazing restaurant and inn. The service both in the restaurant as well as the inn was outstanding. We used the Pitt Street room the Bridal Suite as well as for the Honeymoon Suite and it was fantastic!! It was luxurious, spacious, and had an amazing bathroom. During the day the room... More

As a B&B owner myself for 15+ years I have stayed in many B&Bs. The old Village Post House is the best I have stayed in! It is hard to pin down exactly why - maybe the room we had (Room 4) as it was so cozy and comfortable. Maybe the wonderful breakfast where the night manager fussed over my... More

My husband and I came to stay in Mt. Pleasant to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary. The area around the inn is delightful! It's part if the old village and is very walkable, safe , and beautiful. The inn itself fits right in since it's a building that dates back to the 1800s. We stayed in the Pitt st.... More

My daughter and I stayed at the Old Village Post House in April on a visit to Charleston. It is like staying at the home of a grandparent you didn't know you had. The rooms are old fashioned and charming. Our room, I forget what it was called but it had twin beds, was more roomy than it looked on... More

The location is very convenient to the islands and Charleston. When we arrived the room temperature was very warm but we decided to give the A/C time to cool the room. We left to do some sightseeing and when we returned the room temp had actually increased. When I went to the front desk I received an alarming look when... More

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Old Village Post House. My wife and I wanted to experience Charleston, but didn't want to stay in the city proper, as all the hotels in town were either outside our desired price range or rumored to be rowdy. Staying here in Mount Pleasant worked perfectly for us. It was a quiet... More
