We stayed here for 3 nights to use it as a base for exploring Charleston and received a real South Carolina welcome. Our room was clean and a good size with a lot of little quirky touches and with a wonderful view of the creek. We really appreciated the shared spaces - each evening we ended up on the covered... There are too many good things about the Plantation Oaks Inn to mention them all. Beautiful house and rooms in a wonderful setting, just a short 20 minute drive to downtown Charleston. Steve, Phyllis and Shelly are great hosts. Breakfasts were excellent. Rates are extremely reasonable and way better than what you will pay in the city. We enjoy the... More

We loved every minute of our two week stay at Plantation Oaks Inn. Everything was just like in the beautiful pictures on their website. The rooms (we rented two) were clean, tastefully decorated and spacious. Our hosts, Phyllis and Steve, were welcoming, informative, accommodating and fun to talk with. We loved the breakfasts! Generous servings and lots of variety, all... More

My husband and I wanted a place near Charleston, but without the hustle and bustle and big price tag. We were extremely impressed with Plantation Oaks Inn. Our host, Steve, had the perfect blend of helpfulness without being intrusive, and he was a great cook. The Inn is situated on a lovely piece of property, quiet and peaceful. Our room... More

My wife and I were visiting our daughter and her husband and decided to stay here instead of a regular hotel. That was an excellent decision. The inn is log-cabin style, smoke-free and is decorated with great taste. The innkeepers could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. The breakfasts were 5 star. Our room was cozy and restful. The... More

Daughter was getting married at Boone Hall and we were looking for a close place to stay after the wedding. Contacted the Inn and Steve was most accommodating providing an early check in prior to wedding at 3:00. Room was very nice. Breakfast was great. Would highly recommend.

We chose this location after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor and have to say we were not disappointed in any way. The welcome we received from Steve was fantastic and the freshly baked cookies upon arrival were a splendid surprise. The rooms were spotlessly clean and dressed to a very high standard. The breakfasts on the two days we stayed... More

You arrive through a tree lined country road and find a charming log cabin along the marsh. The house is beautiful, but very inviting. The owner/hosts greet you with with a friendly smile and all the information it takes to make your stay enjoyable. The WiFi is strong and the rooms have lots of plugs for all our rechargeable items.... More

We had such a wonderful experience at the Plantation Oaks Inn! We went in Sept 2013 and we could have been happier. The staff was so nice and had great recommendations of where to visit in the area. Breakfast was something different everyday and was always hot and fresh (we often just needed a snack for lunch because so much... More

If you want a romantic getaway in the Mount Pleasant / Charleston area then this is THE place. My only regret is that I was quite ill during the visit, a ad reaction to meds I had to take, the upside being that I had to stay another night with my wife because I was too ill to drive home,... More
