Everything was literally perfect. The room, the house, the food, and of course, the hosts. We have stayed in a lot of B&B's, and this one is one of the best. We were only able to stay one night which was enough to make us want to go back for an extended stay. The house and its contents are a... More

Denley C, Owner at The Grove -- The Inn on Harlee, responded to this review

One of our greatest delights is guests who feel like they have had a "perfect" experience. Those who realize we offer much more than a luxury room and a great breakfast and get involved in the estate usually make a pleasant memory while staying here. The Grove is a living history inn waiting to be discovered. More

This Inn may be slightly off the I-95 beaten path, but if you add it as a waypoint you will find it well worth the trip. Simply put: Denley and Ann know how to run a B&B! The accommodations are exceptionally clean and you will find everything you would expect to meet your needs. Unfortunately, we had to leave early... More

This is one of the best experiences we have had at a B&B in a long time. The breakfast was outstanding, the furnishings were beyond adequate description and the host and hostess were delightful. We can't wait to return on our next trip North. If you like History or enjoy beautiful furniture and antiques, you will love this place!!! DR.... More

Old world charm, bow tie bacon and grits, warm peaches with yogurt...need i say more! What an amazing experience we had. All of the positive comments made in the other reviews were absolutely true! We highly recommend waking up early to check out Denley cooking breakfast on the wood burning stove that "still" works! You will not be disappointed with... More

Denley and Ann were such great host, they have a ton of information on the house and it's history. We hate having to leave and will definitely will return as we were only able to scratch the surface in the day we were there. Denley even made us some delicious grits in the wooden stove, a very sweet touch. Ann's... More

Spent a wonderful weekend with Denley and Ann, the proprietors of this beautiful historical home. They have painstakingly restored this home to bring out the beauty and craftsmanship from the 1890s. Our room, Senator Montgomery's Room, was perfectly appointed with period pieces. The room was much more spacious than you would get at a hotel. The bed was so comfortable.... More

Next to 'southern hospitality' in the dictionary, should be the picture of the The Grove - The Inn on Harlee, with the Denley and Ann Caughman standing outside! The home is a beautiful, living museum with warmth and charm. The Caughman's are committed to preserving the beauty and history of the home and the Montgomery family, and are very knowledgable... This is a mistake, because now more people will know what a great place this is and reservations will be harder to get. This is a working B and B and they love to give tours of the house and property. Do yourself a favor and eat dinner there, its wonderful. Ann and Denley really take care of their guests.... More

Marion, South Carolina is an unusual place for a B&B of this excellence, but it reflects the care and enthusiasm of its passionate owners. The place is a history lesson in itself, covering boom and bust, wars and the unlikely origins of Pan American Airlines. The breakfast is superb, and each of the suites has been both modernized and returned... More
