We recently held a wedding at the Red Horse Inn, The day was beautiful. As far as the view/backdrop it was utterly breathtaking. However, the food was cold when it was suppose to be hot. The wedding party had to serve the toast to the entire wedding becasue the even staff (Red Horse Inn Employees) werent doing much of anything.... more

Located in the foothills of the upstate of South Carolina, and overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains, the setting is perfect. Unlike other B&B's that are often a converted house, The Red Horse Inn offers 5 cottages that are designed with... more

My husband and I just spent 4 days at The Red Horse Inn after renewing our vows on our 37th anniversary. This was the most romantic and peaceful place I think we have even been. Mary and Roger were so plesant, and thought of so many details which made our trip such a pleasure. We had such a magnificent view... more

My friend and I left the Grove Park Inn and begin our journey to Atlanta. We spent Thursday night with Mary & Roger at The Red Horse Inn in Landrum. The inn and its surrounding cottages offer a romantic escape from noise and distraction. We stayed in the Dove Cote room and it was fantastic. We were impressed with the... more

My fiance and I stayed here one night while looking at properties in the area. What a gorgeous place. Mary, one of the owners, is a treasure. She welcomed us warmly, answered our thousands of questions about the area, booked a dinner reservation for us at the Tea House at Lake Lanier (fabulous, by the way) and helped make our... more

When we discovered the Red Horse Inn through Google, we thought, what a lovely venue this would be for our wedding. It was only when we arrived that we were truely overwhelmed by the beauty, accommodation and kindness from Mary and Roger, the owners. Not only was our cottage divine, but having our meals prepared and delivered to our cottage... more

We loved every bit of our time there! Like I said they paid attention to every detail- from the materials they used to build and decorate the place down to just everything they thought of you could possibly need! The whole time just about it was raining (2 nights), but I didn't mind one bit. The rain on the tin... more

I stayed at the Red Horse Inn and it was wonderful! The rooms and cottages are just beautifully decorated and the scenery was fabulous. The most wonderful thing was sitting on the porch watching the sun go down. It was just a glorious experience. The food and refreshments in the cottage was just delicious. The peaceful serenity of the Inn... more

I have stayed at the Red Horse Inn twice: one on the night of our wedding, and the other for our one year wedding anniversary. It is a wonderful place if you know what to expect. It is in the country and very quiet. The scenery is amazing. You will not see the staff much, if at all! On our... more

I decided to plan a quick stop for a quiet evening with my boyfriend on our way to Asheville, and after reading the reviews for the Red Horse - it seemed like the perfect place. We were looking for a just a quiet retreat and an opportunity to take in the beautiful country. The setting for the Inn is nice,... more
