We love everything about Kiawah Island! This was our third annual getaway with friends and tho the weather was cold and somewhat rainy we managed two days of golf and enjoyed every minute! Customer service is alive and well wherever you go on the Island. Our Villa was beautiful and our traditional dinner by the fireplace at the Ryder Cup... More

Tucked away in rolling marsh and sandy beaches is Kiawah Island and the Kiawah resort. From the moment you pass the guard tower you are transported to a different time and place. From the lobby to the conference facilities and the shops, homes, condo's, and golf courses. This place has it all..

A trip to Kiawah is a glimpse of heaven. The location is like a dream world; with nights so dark and silent and days so fresh and free. The staff, accommodations and scenery are outstanding. You will be treated like royalty from the minute you arrive until the warm goodbye and invitation to return.

I fell for their "Golf or Gourmet" special. While the meal at Tomasso was good, the villa was sub-standard at best. It appeared to be about 30 years old and I would be surprised if it had been touched the entire time. No view, big signs all over the fireplace warning not to attempt to use it, ancient shower plumbing,... More

We rented a four bedroom villa for the Earl Klugh Jazz Fest in November 2014. The villa, which was beautifully designed and had been well-appointed, was in need of some TLC. The kitchen was missing most of the basic appointments - pots, pans, utensils, the microwave was broken, the gas log fireplaces were not available for use by renters, and... More

Stayed here for a conference and the location is amazing. Make sure you take an early morning walk for the sunrise on the beach. The villas are privately owned and so this means each one is differently and personally decorated. I was in one a long way from the conference centre, which was an issue. A mini bus transport is... Not an in expensive place but you get what you pay for. From the Santuary to the the villas all are pleasant to stay in .Food is good as well as are the drinks. Not a very long drive into Charleston which offers some places to eat there as well as the drive into and on Nearby shopping centers/Village and Seabrook.

I recently stayed at The Sanctuary for the Earl Klugh Jazz Weekend. A first class event at a first class facility. It is about 45 minutes outside of Charleston, but definitely worth the drive. First class golf courses, bike rentals available, great beach, courteous staff, great cuisine, and a small shopping village nearby. Add to this a jazz festival on... More

I recently had the opportunity to stay for five nights on Kiawah Island. The Sanctuary, as they call it, is amazing. It is expensive, especially for South Carolina, but it might well be worth it. The various restaurant offerings around the island (all part of the resort) offer delicious low country fare, and other options if you are so inclined.... More

Amazing facility; stayed at the villas - had full kitchen, screened in porch, two minute walk to beach; required transportation to the conference center but was very prompt/reliable and courteous; appointments such as TVs in living area and bedroom, washer/dryer made the villa it a lovely place to stay; if you want to use the kitchen, bring food, wine etc....
