We stayed at the Sanctuary in August for a week and what a pleasant surprise! Our suite was very nicely appointed and very comfortable. We had a view overlooking the ocean, it was a wonderful way to wake up in the morning and have coffee on our private balcony. The staff was very accomidating and had such lovely southern hospitality!... More

Top notch service at a 5-Star Resort is what you expect and that is what we got. Great food, too. We ate at Jasmine Porch on three occasions for breakfast and lunch. We ate at the Ocean Room and Tomasso's for dinner. Cocktails were at the pool bar and restaurant, Loggerheads. Wait staff was always there when you wanted them... More

We rented one of the Beach Townhouses at the Kiawah resort and it was the perfect option for a family with small children. We went into Charleston a number of times to eat at several restaurants, but we appreciated coming back to an ocean views and lots of space in the evening. The resort made it easy to wrap all... My first time to visit Kiawah and we picked the perfect place Windswept Villas at Kiawah Island Golf resort! So much lush vegetation in this nature preserve you don't realize how many properties are on the island. Highly recommend 4331 Windswept although it said partial ocean views 3 areas had full ocean view with only the palm trees to frame... More

If you like "old, musty, cockroach-infested, thieving" locales, then this is your place! Otherwise, STEER CLEAR. 1. Booked house through resort & luckily it was new construction. Still, we were bombarded w/ COCKROACHES every morning. Little red roaches, big 2"+ black roaches, all varieties. When I called concierge, was told "Oh those aren't cockroaches. They're palmetto bugs." Google palmetto bugs.... More

Palmetto bugs are a fact of life in the coastal Lowcountry. We spray but we are limited. First off, anyone who has every visited Kiawah Island Golf Resort knows that we are very sensitive to the environment. So, we only use the most environmentally safe bug sprays. Using stronger chemicals would go against our “green” nature and such pesticides are,... More

My husband was coming to the resort for a conference so I was excited to join him...we even booked a few extra days at the villa. From what I had read, I was expecting a luxury resort, with high-end amenities. However, I didn't find that the resort lived up to expectations, though they certainly charge 5-star prices. I live in... More

We stayed in a 1 bedroom villa. It was clean, comfortable and very well appointed for an enjoyable golf and beach vacation. Our villa was a short walk from the beach, which is great for walking and sitting and not crowded at all. There are miles and miles of bike trails all over the island and they are easily reached... My fourth stay on the island . Villas vary by amenities and location but I've loved each. This time we stayed at a Parkside villa with ample deck and screen porch area. Spent lots of time out there enjoying the weather and the view. Lots of activities (bike rental, pools, beach, paddleboarding, sunset cruise, nature bike tour)! Gorgeous island and... More

We stayed at one of the Turtle Point Villas. The villa is exceptionally large for a family of 5. Close to the River Course where the wedding was held, the Night Heron pool where I took my toddler to play and the Sanctuary pool & Beach, also a great relaxing area. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy... More

Kiawah Island is the most relaxing, serene place I have ever been! I have traveled extensively and you won't find more beautiful beaches, tropical wonders, hospitality that can't be matched and if you want to be one with nature, this is the only place to be! Love this place - plan on retiring here -
