you can access the lodge by helicopter as I did, or ski, or hike in. once there the vistas are spectacular. A lake framed by Assiniboine mountain is the background to endless day hikes led by knowledgeable guides, where the evedence of man is only evident by the lodge it's self. Well maintained cabins, tent sites, sauna, dinning hall, and... More

Last winter my wife and I booked several days at Assiniboine Lodge and it was amazing. Our hosts, Claude, Annick, Andre, and the rest of the staff took care of all our needs, and more. One of the staff even loaned my wife their winter boots so she could go snowshoeing instead of skiing that day. During part of our... More

Thanks John H. Appreciate you taking the time to share your experience about winter at Assiniboine. Ma Nature has brought us a wee cold spell and snow. We can't wait for Winter 2015 to do it all over again...just the way you described it here. Skiing, snow shoeing, star gazing and snuggling in with wonderful people and delicious food. Thank... What can be said... you stay here to be surrounded by the most amazing landscapes on earth, Mount Assiniboine and the Canadian Rockies. The lodge is fun, comfortable and the log cabins are basic but comfy! The staff makes it worth every penny, they are all so helpful. Claude and Annic do a great job keeping things running smoothly. Thank you for sharing your experience with us this September. It was a wonderful experience for all of us having the photography group coming and going. And what a few days of weather. You saw it all in Assiniboine Provincial Park. How about this winter? Another photo extravaganza? Mother nature's winter blanket makes this place a whole other world of... More

This place stands alone in my experience. What they do, they do really well. There is only the luxury of being surrounded by the most incredible scenery and hiking experience that I have ever seen. Lets start with what this is not...it is not up to the standards of modern luxury. In retrospect, that would have just detracted from the... More

We plan a stay each year in a back country lodge in the Canadian Rockies to relax, hike and enjoy the cooler fall weather sans the summer crowds. Last week we returned to Assiniboine Lodge for 5 days. In the 8 years since our last visit, there are new operators and new renovations but thankfully, the same wonderful service from... More

Historic Assiniboine Lodge is a gem in the Canadian Rockies. Great staff, excellent service and delicious food. Professionally guided hiking on the many pristine trails. Excellent for photography. Home to grizzly bears, mountain goats, elk and eagles. Easily one of our most memorable vacations. Rustic and unique. The cabin we stayed in was built in about 1930. The clear mountain... More

It's been a fun start for us here. With wonderful feedback from guests like you we know we are on the right track. How... More

We flew by helicopter into and out of the Mt. Assiniboine Lodge at the beginning of July, 2014. Located high in the Rocky Mountains near the B.C. Alberta border, melting snow fed rushing streams and waterfalls. The scenery was stunningly beautiful. We stayed in the rustic Naiset Huts and ate our meals in the well equipped and clean kitchen building.... More

We stayed in the Aster Hut @ the Naiset Huts for 4 nights in March, and enjoyed wonderful back country skiing with friends. The huts themselves are very rustic and quaint. Our group booked the entire hut for 8. If you are not good friends before you go, you will be by the time you come back...but hey, that is... More
