We stayed three nights in the "Junior Suite" in the main hotel, The Boardwalk Inn. The room was very small (just one king and a sofa bed) and dingy with knicks on the walls. The room resembled that of a chain motel. There was NO ocean view as we were told. If you looked in between the houses from the... More

Dear notrohdn, Please let me express my concern over your recent experience at the hotel. The Boardwalk Inn staff - and entire resort staff - strives diligently every day to exceed guests’ expectations. Clearly, we fell short with yours, and for that I sincerely apologize and can assure you that I am following up with the team to ensure the... More

We just returned from a one-week stay at the Wild Dunes Resort. Be forewarned -- the units are INDIVIDUALLY OWNED and the resort management does NOT oversee and maintain them, although this is not evident when renting from their web site. We rented unit E301 in the Port O'Call section of the resort, and it was very disappointing. While the... More

I was pleased to learn that you had a wonderful experience with the resort property and service from our staff, but disappointed to hear of the challenges you faced with your accommodation. Please know that the Management team here on property has strict guidelines for accommodations on our rental program, and we work closely with the homeowners of those rentals... More

This was our second visit to wild dunes. This time we stayed ocean front. What a view and the sounds of the ocean soothed us to sleep. Activities are everywhere, from quiet uncrowded walk on the beach, to tennis, to massage, to the active happenings at the Sand Bar. Plus getting to downtown/historic Charleston is quite easy (abt 20 minutes).... More

As an absolute last-minute Spring break vacation for the family, we booked a three-night stay at the Boardwalk Inn at Wild Dunes. Let me state that I am a very very picky traveler, and have a tendency to focus on things that are wrong with service, with a meal, or with a room. Wild Dunes left me with very little,... More

We decided on Wild Dunes for our Spring Break trip this year. We are a family of 4, our kids are 8 & 11. We really loved our stay there. They had golf for my husband and son. Every morining we rented bikes and rode over 6 miles of trails. There was tennis for myself and my daughter. The beach... More

We were traveling with my brother and his family (2 adults/2 children) and we had 3 adults, a teenager and a toddler. We reserved two, 2bdr suites in the Village. We received an awesome deal through a travel site. This is an excellent property 50 yards down a walkway from the beach. The 2 bdr/2 bath suites were higher end... More

I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Wild Dunes Resort! My husband & I have been there 3 times & every time we have the most wonderful & pleasant experience! We stayed here the night of March 24, 2011-when we arrived at Wild Dunes we instantly regretted that we hadn't booked a longer stay. It was the perfect day and night. Our room was luxurious and well-maintained and its balcony had a beautiful ocean view. We had our pick of several (three, I believe) pools at which to relax with... More
