It was on the edge of quality for me. I would compare it to a 3-1/2 star hotel that went the extra mile to be clean and functional. Our party consisted of 3 adults, one couple and a child. First the pros: clean, great location, great golf, very quite (almost dead), right next to bike trail and on golf course,... More

Hi Kevin C - first off, thank you for your review - it was extremely thorough and we appreciate it. We are glad enjoyed the Village and that it met your needs (somewhat) to a T. We have however taken your suggestions to our maintenance and operations team for evaluation. Thank you for your extensive feedback on how we can... More

Staff at front desk was a little remote to find but ready to help us as soon as we walked in the door. Enjoyed our annversary here, NO regrets. Neighborhood is perfectly quiet no stompers upstairs or next door-- well run chalet system.

We were within walking distance, about 150 yds, to the beach. Also, we rode our bikes everywhere, everyday. We had a blast. The rooms were large and beautiful. We would stay there again. Also, on the property is Big Jim's Restaurant, which has excellent Barbeque.

Our friends invited us to join them in a 2 bedroom unit which was very nice. Plenty of room in the bedrooms, with walk in closets, large baths. Nice porch for sitting outside. Only thing we all agreed on was that the glass dining table was too big for the dining area - we all ended up with some bruises... More

We at Hilton Head Accommodations are thrilled you enjoyed your vacation at The Village at Palmetto Dunes. The location, coupled with access to one of the only beach bars on the Island make for a great vacation. Thank you for you feedback on the table. On our next round of renovations, we will look at that - one that will... More

Great value. We stayed in a studio and were impressed with the nicely appointed full kitchen. The layout allows for the kitchen to be out of the line of sight of the living room/bedroom, which makes it feel larger. The service was wonderful and it was clean and very nice!

The location is worth the stay. You have your own covered parking spot and are within walking distance to the beach. It is affordable, but the quality has gone down in recent years. We had nail polish on two parts of our bathroom sink, the washer handle was broken, the stove handle was loose, one dining room chair was glued... More

Tucked away and a 3 minute walk to the beach. Covered all our needs in a one bedroom 2 bath cottage for three people. There were 3-4 indigenous critters crawling during the week in the unit, but the rooms had just been sprayed. Centrally located on the island, so that all could go in different directions. We did a lot... More

We at Hilton Head Accommodations are pleased that you enjoyed an "end of summer" getaway. The location of and proximity to the beach can't be beat....especially for the value! I'm sorry you had a palmetto bug experience, even after spraying, but we did find that to be the trend across the Island this summer with the weather. Come back and... More

The vacation was good but we left our personal phonebook in the condo and no one seems to find it. We are sure it was left in a drawer in the condo. We left Friday a day early so the cleanup crew should have it or the new occupants. This book has a lot of personal information in it and... More

Great vacation. We travel a lot and this was first time in HH. The Village is a small but older resort but close to everything including the beach, shopping, bars, restaraunts and golf. Staying the the Dunes was one of the most relaxing vacations we had. Can't wait to return in September 2013.

Thank you - we are so glad you enjoyed the vacation. As with most resorts on Hilton Head Island, the older ones have a tendency to be closest to the beach and we here at Hilton Head Accommodations have focused on renovation and refreshing the Village, including a patio deck for outdoor grilling on the lagoon, new couches and more!... We stayed in a studio, which was just fine for my husband and I. If there were any more people it definately would have been too small. The place was very clean and we had no complaints about it. In a great location, just a very short walk to the beach and the Dunes House beach restaurant. (The only negative... More
