First, I want to note that we stayed here for free. My husband and I shared a one bedroom (A324) apartment with another couple July 8-12. The resort itself is a bit older but clean and well-groomed. We initially were offered a 3-bedroom condo in the very back of the resort, but that would've been a very long walk to... more

We stayed in AR439 and it was falling apart. The bathroom floor in the master bedroom was buckled up, underneath the bathroom sink was leaking everywhere, the ceiling had water stains on it, the television was so old there was no place to hook the DVD player, so we couldn't use it. The couch in the living room was broken... more

This is a resort with everything, the best beach on HHI and has tennis, bike rentals, two great pools, a beach bar, etc. Well-maintained grounds, playground for kids, etc. Don't rent thru the on-site rentals, go online and find owners who have posted pics of refurbished units. www.beachloversparadise.com is one we used but www.VRBO.com is one with many listings. Note... more

We really lked our stay here. The unit we stayed in 143-A, & it was very nice place to spend the week. There were 3 of us & everything worked out fine as far as space, etc. The resort was great. The pool's huge ( it was usually busy, but not shoulder to shoulder or anything) & refreshing. The boardwalks... more

We are travelling back home to England having stayed at Hilton Head Beach and Tennis resort. We are well seasoned travellers and we have had a wonderful stay here. One week isn't long enough for this beautiful Island. The resort is well run, secure and ideally situated. The pool is well kept and there are plenty of sun loungers. For... more

We stayed at the Admirals Club Villas right on the ocean - 401. When we first arrived, the aroma of mildew was overwhelming in the Villa. We had to go out and buy room air fresheners to try and make the odor go away - it helped, but it lingered. The place was dirty and felt like I had to... more

This is our third year staying at HHBT. We love it. The secret is to rent through VRBO-not the resort itself. You will get a better price and you can pick the exact villa you want. The first year we stayed at HHBT we rented through the resort and the villa was so ugly and outdated with dusty old wicker... more

This resort is a real find, and I'm so glad I wasn't scared away by reviewers saying it was isolated, "creepy," "not family friendly," etc. It is located just off a major street, so it certainly isn't isolated. We stayed in Admirals Row, which is the section nearest the beach. I saw nothing "creepy" about it, and it was certainly... more

We stayed in a 2 bedroom in an area called Admirals Row. The building is remote and walking down the hallways was a little spooky. I have two daughters 12 & 14 and was too concerned to let them roam freely. There is a small private pool located there where mainentance guys and other workers were always walking or driving... more
