After reading several recent reviews we were hesitant to stay at The Phoenix Inn Tonight we will complete a three night visit, with no complaints!!! In the past my wife and I have stayed at The Phoenix twice each year for 15 seasons while attending an outdoor products trade show. All were very pleasant experiences. The location is great. Next.door to the... More

We were very disappointed with this hotel. The staff was nice but we did not receive adjoining rooms as booked even though the hotel was not full. The internet did not work in one of our 2 rooms, and the rooms were very worn. Will not stay there again with better hotels in the area.

Judging by the outside it looks like a nice hotel. The good: rooms were clean and comfortable beds, price was very reasonable and lots of ice. Krispy Kream factory next door. The Bad: bar closed out of business and had a sign on the door BYOB ?? Restaurant only had a small buffet breakfast, no lunch or dinner. Pool area... More

I am in my third night at this hideous has been hell hole. It's first and mistaken appearance is one of genteel Southern charms, a thin veneer if there ever was one ! The first two nights ( Thursday and Friday ) virtually no other guests ...NONE! Tonight parking lot packed ...why I wonder as I knew the leading hotels... More

We stayed over the weekend and it was all right. It was clean and breakfast was good but it was built in 1971 and does need some updates. Would stay there again if in Greenville because they are pet friendly.

Really pretty room. Did not realize before booking that the room doors all face out into the open, as opposed to a hallway, but the hotel does not feel unsafe because of it, but rather quaint. Very Southern in décor, with great service. Breakfast came with my room. Really felt like I had gone back to the 70s or 80s... More

We normally visit The Phoenix a few times a year. We feel safe here and it is close to family. We never had any issues till our visit last week. We originally requested 2 nights but decided to stay an extra night which we have done many times. So we went to the front desk and let them know we... More

We do business in Greenville 6 times a year. We switched to the Phoenix three trips ago. Older hotel, so the rooms are larger with room to relax. Furniture is older and real wood and comfortable. Hotel comes with free breakfast - real food! Eggs, bacon, you name it. It was always a decent breakfast, but it seems the quality... More

We stayed here last weekend and stay here 5-6 times per year. We were told that the man who had set our reservations before has passed away. There was a new woman at the desk who was not familiar with us but was very helpful in getting our information into the computer and setting future reservations for us for the... More

Old dump that the owners tried to slap some wallpaper on the walls, dust ruffle on the bed, matching raggedy curtains add in a musty smell, old time tv, mold on the walls and you have their renovations..Not to mention we were supposed to have a king size bed but it was a queen for sure..but when I inquired they took...
