You can read all of my other reviews and find out that we like this place. Convenient, large, older rooms, and the staff is friendly. The real breakfast in the morning is a real plus. The only complaint that we've ever had is with the Wi-Fi. We travel on business and being able to stay connected is a requirement. They... More

The Phoenix has a delicious breakfast buffet and beautiful vintage dining room. The Inn is charming and nicely cared for but it's age is showing through the peeling paint and cracking pillars. The architecture and landscape is superb but that's about it. We traveled in the off winter season and there were only a couple of other guests. However, when... More

When making my reservation, I asked for a handicapped room because they have no elevators and it is hard for me to get up and down the stairs. Go to check in and was given a key to the second floor. I said I need a room on the first floor I have a handicap. He said sorry there is... More

After years of travelling to Greenville on business, I finally decided to stay at the Phoenix. I am certain this hotel used to be quite nice years ago. While the staff was friendly, the room was just okay. There was a chair in the room the arm had been worn through and the stuffing was coming out. The room really... More

After reading several recent reviews we were hesitant to stay at The Phoenix Inn Tonight we will complete a three night visit, with no complaints!!! In the past my wife and I have stayed at The Phoenix twice each year for 15 seasons while attending an outdoor products trade show. All were very pleasant experiences. The location is great. Next.door to the... More

We were very disappointed with this hotel. The staff was nice but we did not receive adjoining rooms as booked even though the hotel was not full. The internet did not work in one of our 2 rooms, and the rooms were very worn. Will not stay there again with better hotels in the area.

Judging by the outside it looks like a nice hotel. The good: rooms were clean and comfortable beds, price was very reasonable and lots of ice. Krispy Kream factory next door. The Bad: bar closed out of business and had a sign on the door BYOB ?? Restaurant only had a small buffet breakfast, no lunch or dinner. Pool area... More

I am in my third night at this hideous has been hell hole. It's first and mistaken appearance is one of genteel Southern charms, a thin veneer if there ever was one ! The first two nights ( Thursday and Friday ) virtually no other guests ...NONE! Tonight parking lot packed ...why I wonder as I knew the leading hotels... More

We stayed over the weekend and it was all right. It was clean and breakfast was good but it was built in 1971 and does need some updates. Would stay there again if in Greenville because they are pet friendly.

Really pretty room. Did not realize before booking that the room doors all face out into the open, as opposed to a hallway, but the hotel does not feel unsafe because of it, but rather quaint. Very Southern in décor, with great service. Breakfast came with my room. Really felt like I had gone back to the 70s or 80s... More
