This reminds me of a boutique hotel or a bed & breakfast. This was our second visit and we will be back. It is very clean and the staff is very attentive. The hotel is very close to the downtown area and to numerous shopping areas. The prices for the downtown chains are twice as much as The Phoenix. We... More

It will be very hard to say enough positive things regarding this hotel. It is definitely not a big chain hotel which makes this a great place. This place is full of charm and character. The staff is absolutely wonderful and friendly. The bar area has different events happening every night of the week. They are also going through some... More

Old, but characterized on every hand by meticulous attention to detail. Breakfast was quite ordinary, but the elegant setting puts it in the top tier (tablecloths and napkins made of real cloth, attendants scooting around pouring coffee). As a tradesman, I noticed things that needed attention, but I noticed much more that had been maintained meticulously, convincing me that management... More

I had to stay in Greenville on account of the ice storm. It was below freezing outside and then in our room when the heater stopped working in the middle of the night. Then we woke up to discover that there were some blood stains on the sheets. Overall, not a pleasant experience and I can't say that I'll be... More

We were a group of 12 local people who stayed overnight on New Year's Eve. It was our first experience at the Phoenix Inn. It was wonderful. Very good food, service and room accommodations. It has a very romantic setting and more local people should visit this hotel. We were very pleased. Everyone from the front desk staff to management... More

This was an older hotel, so I was hesitate about what it be like..I REALLY liked it! The rooms were big and VERY clean! Parked right at our door, which was a big plus for me. The restraint was amazing. Had a buffet breakfast. It was very good with great service. Never had to wait on our coffee. The bar... More

Greenville offers many downtown hotels with luxurious accommodations, this hotel is not for those travelers. Not to deter you, my room was not only affordable but clean and spacious and the lobby boasted a bar as well. However, my room was about 60 degrees when I arrived and only offered a wall heater which took an hour or two to... More

I was looking for a hotel close to a location we were going to in Greenville for the night. I read some earlier reviews and was hesitant about booking. We showed up without reservations and asked to see a room prior to booking. The young lady at the front desk was very nice and accommodating to our request. She showed... More

***WARNING*** I want to start by saying that the front desk ladies are AMAZING, and did issue me a full refund that I am greatfull for. My boyfriend and I live very close to greenville and wanted a fancy getaway. This hotel had beautiful pictures and somehow had pretty good reviews. So we prepaid and booked for two nights. We... This was our second visit to The Phoenix; the last being 2 years ago. At that time we gave it a glowing recommendation. Apparently it was allowed to deteriorate during the previous owner's last couple years. Now under new ownership, they have a big job ahead to bring this gem back. As in our last visit, the staff was great,... More

Thank you for taking the time out to share your thoughts on your recent experience at our property. We've been hard at work the past several months addressing the most pressing issues that we found when we took over, and are in the midst of planning out more extensive renovations as part of a general refresh that, as you noticed,...
