My daughter and I spent the last 2 nights at "The Phoenix". My daughter had to have Physical Therapy at Shriner's so we received a $15 discount being with the Hospital. I will start with the Pro's. We liked the flowers and pool area. It was well kept. The pool went to 8 1/2 feet, which is a nice change... more

Yes, the Phoenix has been renovated. I stayed there a few years ago and noticed a big change in the room decor this time. I was in a double room which would be good for at most 2 people because the beds are small doubles. Some of the updates I appreciated were the bed linens& curtains, the shower fixtures and shower... more

Not your garden variety McHilton. This one is as unique as it is wonderful! Southern! Southern! Southern! You are greeted in a beautifully appointed lobby with high ceilings Doric columns ornate molding. Rooms nicely decorated and very clean feature huge four poster beds that are firm and comfortable. Spectacular courtyard particularly in spring, summer and fall, Magnolias and flowers are... more

I'm not sure why this hotel, rather motel, recieved such high reviews. The rooms are dated with old carpeting and damaged/rusty bathroom fixtures. To make things worse, during my second night in the hotel I woke to a roach crawling down my arm.... more

We were looking for a room for one night in Greenville while taking our daughter back to school at Furman. The Phoenix was listed on the university's web site a referral. I checked the motel out on Trip Advisor and after reading the reviews decided to give it a try. We stayed one night on 8/24. The lobby was well... more

Stayed there last week on a return from Asheville-flying back to California from Greenville. Heard great reviews from Trip Advisor. Staff was friendly, room was ready on time and Breakfast was one of the Best sit down I had in a motel BUT room was very dated and badly in need of a face lift. Rooms are outside rather than... more

Stayed at The Phoenix for just one night. We are unfamiliar with the Greenvile area, and based our selection on the opinions of other Trip Advisor reviewers. We couldn't have been more satisfied. The Phoenix is unique, not just one of many in a chain of hotels, and has ample charm and character. The property is located up on a... more

I recently spent 2 nights at the Phoenix for a yearly meeting and dinner. As usual, the staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and accomodating. The rooms are a good value and I highly recommed this small property for anyone. more

I did NOT want to spend the night in Greenville, SC. I did NOT want to shell out for a hotel room and dinner. The howling wind across the state dictated otherwise, making home an unrealistic destination for a little airplane, and the FBO (airport services) made a phone call for me. "The Phoenix is close, it's reasonable, and safe."... more
