Really pretty room. Did not realize before booking that the room doors all face out into the open, as opposed to a hallway, but the hotel does not feel unsafe because of it, but rather quaint. Very Southern in décor, with great service. Breakfast came with my room. Really felt like I had gone back to the 70s or 80s... More

We normally visit The Phoenix a few times a year. We feel safe here and it is close to family. We never had any issues till our visit last week. We originally requested 2 nights but decided to stay an extra night which we have done many times. So we went to the front desk and let them know we... More

We do business in Greenville 6 times a year. We switched to the Phoenix three trips ago. Older hotel, so the rooms are larger with room to relax. Furniture is older and real wood and comfortable. Hotel comes with free breakfast - real food! Eggs, bacon, you name it. It was always a decent breakfast, but it seems the quality... More

We stayed here last weekend and stay here 5-6 times per year. We were told that the man who had set our reservations before has passed away. There was a new woman at the desk who was not familiar with us but was very helpful in getting our information into the computer and setting future reservations for us for the... More

Old dump that the owners tried to slap some wallpaper on the walls, dust ruffle on the bed, matching raggedy curtains add in a musty smell, old time tv, mold on the walls and you have their renovations..Not to mention we were supposed to have a king size bed but it was a queen for sure..but when I inquired they took... We stay at this Inn every other month Roughly in the winter month and have for the last couple of years. Recently a new Lady has started working the desk. She is rude, has no customer service skills at all and when faced with a problem she will have to actually do something she will lie to you. We requested... More

Great southern hotel. The room was cozy and clean and the front desk very helpful. The hotel was not a big chain, and the decor was Definetly old southern charm. The location was perfect, only 3 miles to downtown!

...unless it's because you can walk to the convention center. The Phoenix is one of the hotels from a bygone era, that should have stayed there. Old, cramped, musty feeling rooms. Crazy motel architecture where people are walking right outside of your room and looking at you through picture windows. Dubious cleaning standards. We got suckered in for the price... More

Great facility for a family gathering and party.. The dinner food was outstanding. The service was very good and staff were accommodating to requests. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Lovely private party rooms well decorated.

I stayed here for six days and was very satisfied with this hotel. It is an older hotel but the maintenance overall is kept up and most importantly it is clean. Every morning I saw workers out cleaning the lobby and common areas. The breakfast was standard fare but again free and the coffee was hot. Free wifi in the... More
