The experience was not all bad, but worse than anticipated. The hotel is old and obviously was once a nice place to stay. Renovation is well past due, but probably too late to save this facility. The bed linens were clean and the furniture and bath were clean. The carpet was dirty, but I don't know if it is salvageable... More

This is a nice old fashioned hotel that stands the test of time. The room was clean and nice but was obviously an older hotel. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was high class with linen table cloths, stemwear glasses and delicious food. The service was very friendly. This hotel is a classic.

I booked this hotel based on reviews here, so I felt the need to share my experience. We were coming to Greenville for a dance competition and the host hotel was booked. I needed something close by, and most of those were booked as well. I tend to try to stick with name brand hotels, but this one had pretty... More

Have thought long and hard what to write about the Phoenix Inn, where I stayed for 2 nights during a 16 day trip in the south east. The downtown of Greenville looks really smart, with great road signs and sidewalks. The Phoenix Inn is only 3 minutes away from downtown by car, and also only a short drive from I-385,... More

Dear DSandJB, Thank you so much for your lovely comments. We really appreciate the positive feedback! We do have a great location, very close to downtown and free parking. We are glad that you enjoyed The Palms Restaurant and Lounge but disappointed to hear that it was quiet. Hopefully you will come back and enjoy our live music on one... More

We stayed here visiting a sick friend. Although the room appeared nice, it was definitely in need of casmetic touches and repairs. The tub faucet was coming loose from the wall and the door would not close tight enough to use the locks. We woke up the next morning with bed bug bites. We were covered. This is not worth... More

The lobby and the breakfast were the only bright spots. Our room was dingy and old. Not old as in "quaint" and "rustic", but old as in "it hasn't been updated since 1981". The curtain, which didn't go all the way to the floor to block out light, was torn. The carpet was worn. They still have old wallpaper borders... More

We had the opportunity to stay at The Phoenix this last weekend. The front desk folks were awesome. The lounge and bartender was awesome. Met with the Bar Manager and he genuinely cares about his place. The room was clean and very comfortable. It's only 3 miles from downtown and the price is great. We recommend this place!!!

This motel isn't perfect but people seem to be looking for things to criticize while overlooking many positives. Good: The rate was very reasonable ($89). Staff was courteous & helpful. We asked for a few things and there was never an issue. The complimentary breakfast included coffee, bacon, eggs, biscuits, gravy, homefries, grits, yogurt, fruit & cereal. They also had... More

Older hotel. Lots of character. Needs some work but very happy overall. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was friendly. Would stay again if ever in town. Hotel is within walking distance of the TD convention center.

This place was awful! Holes and patches in the bed spread - no kidding. The only bright spot was the manager on duty. She approved a full refund for us through Expedia. It was no way I was going to spend one night there!
