As a female traveling alone I felt very safe here. The ataff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, the bed comfortable! It is close to Charleston, fast food restaurants and other stores are nearby if you need to get anything. The trains didn't bother me at all. This was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. The cleanliness was awful - there were pubic hairs and spit in the bathtub. The room I was given for the first three nights has cable that worked on about half the available channels, but far worse, a toilet that backed up when it was flushed. Beware of the train tracks less than 500 feet from the hotel. Trains come through all night long. Also found a roach in our room. more

The mattress were stained beyond belief! Old and nasty. The bedspread I wouldn't want my dog to sleep on it. Looked like it had never been changed. Staines were on the new bedspread they brought us. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. If you have to stay there. Bring your own linen! more

This hotel is noisy, dirty and in desperate need of updating. As for the amenities, they have a dirty refrigerator, unclean microwave and the usual cups and glasses.
