I've been coming here to the Kingfisher since I was about 5 years old love the location love all the people that work there, great staff. My only issue is the upkeep. Needs to be updated. My only other issue is when I went to look under the bed to make sure I didn't forget anything.....what did I see was... More

I'm surprised at some of the comments I see since we go every year in June and don't "see" what they are complaining about. One was a cold pool in July. It is not heated but we were there in June and it was plenty warm enough. Parking is sparse but adequate. The place is old but clean. I sleep... More

This is our go to place to stay in Garden City. Rooms are a little dated but they are clean and well kept. Its right on the beach, next door to the pier and across the street from Sam's Corner and the game rooms. Prices are reasonable for an ocean front room. Front desk staff is always friendly and never had... More

We stayed at the Kingfisher Inn regularly more than 30 years ago and always enjoyed its location on the beach and the convenience of the pier right next door. Fast forward to the present - it is now dated and could use a serious face lift. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. We enjoyed the cleanliness of our... More

The Kingfisher delivers what my husband and I want in an October vacation. It is next door-meaning walk next door- to the pier which is the only free walk pier in Myrtle area plus Kingfisher has a special that for $15 two people have a weeks pass to fish from the pier which usually costs $8 per day per person.... This place is the perfect place to stay...affordable clean rooms, big clean pool, right next to the Beach with an ice cream shop on site. Next door is the pier with 2 bars & Live bands at night. It's across the street from several restaraunts, several bars, huge arcade, 2- 3 souvenier shops, large gas powered race car (go-Cart) -track,... More

The hotel was very clean and cared for. The studio room we stayed in was spacious and had what we needed. The location by the pier was great, as there were 2 bars with bands, a restaurant and beachwear store across the street. Also a grocery store and other bars and grills within a block. Also only a short driving... More

Good location. Room didnt have love seat that it was supposed to, bathroom cabinet was beat up looking, had a fake master bedroom deck, and the woman when we checked out was not personable at all. She was only concerned about getting the rubber wristbands we where to where to get into the pool which was so cold. Never asked... More

My family has been coming to the kingfisher for 25 plus years and have always enjoyed our stay here. The location is great the staff is great. My only issue is that the rooms are in desperate need of some updating.

The Kingfisher Inn is an average older property in a great location (right on the beach). The staff at the Kingfisher were very nice. The unit was adequate and kept very clean. I was satisfied with the Inn. One problem was that you could hear loud music every night from the pier.
